"Y/n, y/n!" I groaned as I felt someone shook my shoulders erratically. "Y/n, come on! Wake up! I swear I'm going to soak you up with a boiling water if you don't get up!"

I opened my eyes slowly only to see my best friend Dinah with an annoyed look on her face.

"Who the hell sent you up in here," I muttered, closing my eyes back again. Damn it. Why can't I just have my peaceful sleep back?

"Your parents," she answered sternly. "Now if you won't get up I just want you to know that I've already brought a teapot with me and don't be mad if I'm going to burn your skin because I do remember that I gave you a choice."

I just chuckled in response because I know that she won't really do that to me. She's my best friend, she can't hurt me and I'm pretty confident with that.

Or not.

"Bloody hell, Dinah!" I screamed in pain as I try my best to take the burning sensation off of my back. She really did poured the hot water on me.

"You thought I was kidding?" She said, smirking as wide as she can. "Get your ass in the bathroom if you don't want to be late for our class."

She turned her back on me and walked towards the door of my room with the teapot on her hand.

Crap. I just remembered that we have classes for today. I must have a really nice time last night. Everything was a blur, actually. But that doesn't matter anymore because as much as I hate it I have to get ready for school.

Running down the wide spiral staircase of our house, I took a glance of my wristwatch and saw that I still have more than half an hour to eat breakfast.

"Good morning, Mom. Good morning, Dad," I greeted as I entered our dining room. Seeing my parents sit together in our dining table makes my heart lowkey swell. I do appreciate the love they have for each other. I wonder when will I ever find someone who will love me unconditionally; someone who will give me the love like my parents give for each other.

"How was your sleep?" My mom, Shelby, asked.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, grabbing the knife and fork laid on each side of the plate in front of me. "Why did you even allowed Dinah to soak me up with hot water?"

As if on cue, Dinah entered the dining room and sat beside me. Her devilish smirk still plastered across her face.

"Good morning, Ms. Y/l/n," my best friend said politely, acting as if she haven't done anything. "Good morning, Mr. Y/l/n."

"Good morning, Dinah. Go and join y/n with her breakfast," my Dad encouraged her, flashing a sweet smile. "And I told you to just call me Darius."

Dinah smiled at him and turned her gaze towards me. "Thank you, Sir. But I've gotten my breakfast at home and we're kind of running late." She said firmly with a fake smile on her face.
