I tried to push the previous circumstance to the back of my mind and got dressed before proceeding to the living room. I was welcomed by an empty chamber.
“Dinah, where are they?” I asked the Polynesian as she got out of the bathroom.
“In your movie room?” She answered uncertainly. “I heard Lauren freaking out when she got down. What happened?”
I felt my cheeks started to heat up and tried to make an excuse. “I-I... nothing. Nothing happened. Why don’t you order a pizza before going up?”
“You’re such a terrible liar, y/n,” she scoffed, crossing her arms and tilting her head as she waited for me to speak.
I sighed in defeat and rolled my eyes, knowing she won’t let this pass.
“She saw me naked,” I blurted out, almost grimacing at the thought. “I forgot my towel in the terrace and you have used all my extra towels so, I decided to make a run for it. I never thought she was there.”
Her eyes widened and her jaws dropped. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”
“What the hell, Dinah?” I gasped. “I like her, yes, but I wouldn’t do something like that. I-I mean... we’re just starting.”
“So, you aren’t thinking of that yet?” She smirked and I rolled my eyes again.
“Order a pizza, nasty,” I demanded, turning my heels to leave. “You don’t need to know that.”
“Oh yes, I do!” She yelled as I was on the foot of the spiral staircase.
“I ain’t telling you either way!” I shot back, laughing before jogging to my movie room.
I opened the door, the room in full darkness, only illuminated by the projector. I can hear random spells and I realized they were watching Harry Potter; of course, in Camila’s responsibility.
I sat beside Lauren on a recliner chair. I thought everything was going to be awkward but my worries dissolved immediately when the green eyed girl wrapped her arm around me, directing my head gently with her hand to rest on her shoulders. I smiled at the sweet gesture and entwined my fingers with hers as I took her soft hand in mine.
“Hi,” I greeted silently, tilting my head to face her.
“Hi,” she beamed after turning to me, kissing my forehead thereafter.
My lips quirked up instantly, cheeks blushing simultaneously with the sparks flowing through my veins.
I rested my head back to her shoulder as the movie continued to play. Dinah appeared soon, sitting beside Camila after giving me a mischievous smirk, the look visible through the dark. I raised my middle finger at her and she laughed. I thought they’d stop. Boy, I was wrong.
A few moments later, I can see emerald seas staring at me from the corner of my eyes and I turned to her, only to be welcomed by a heart-fluttering grin from the green eyed girl. Shit. These butterflies are killing me.
“What?” I chuckled softly, lifting my head up to examine her face completely.
“Nothing,” she replied, diverting her attention back to the movie. I didn’t took my eyes away from her and a minute haven’t passed, she met my orbs again.
“What?” I laughed, slapping her arm lightly.
“Oh my God,” I heard Dinah groan from her seat. “Will you two stop eating each other’s faces? Have some respect for Voldemort, he’s speaking!”
“Why would we even show respect for Voldemort when he’s the dark lord?” I shot back good-naturedly, craning my neck to get a sight of the Polynesian. “You’re such a traitor to Hogwarts.”
