Few days more and it's already Christmas. The weather has changed here in Miami and we're currently on our Christmas break. I'm getting more and more excited as the day passes by because we're finally flying to London the next day.

"Lauren wanted them to pay for the hotel but I told them it was already settled," I informed my Mom, who was on the other end of the call.

Since December came, my whole family–except from Cailux, that lil' good baby–kept on bugging me about the Jauregui's. They must've really liked them and what can I say? I can't blame them. I've been single my whole life and it's always Sailor who introduces his girlfriend's family to ours. That's why my parents are so excited to meet them because they know that this is different from Sailor's visitors. They knew that this will be better.

Of course.

"I really like her, y/n. Don't let her go, okay?"

"Why would I, Mom?" I chuckled.

"I don't know if you're like your younger brother who plays with girls' heart."

"I'm hell far from being that."

"You better be. Anyways, everything is all set here, honey. I know you called to check up on it."

"Nah," I replied, receiving a snort from the woman. "Okay, fine. Maybe a little bit. But I'm here to ask you about the gift I'm going to give Lauren. I don't know if a journal is enough, Mom. I feel like buying her something more of that."

"What are her hobbies?"

"Besides writing, she really like painting. I've seen her work before, it's amazing. But I guess she made it when she was fourteen?"

"You mean she never painted recently?"

"She told me she couldn't because she's lacking of supplies." And that's when it hit me. "Jesus Christ, you're a genius!"

"You're just an idiot."

"I guess I got it from you, Ma," I joked.

"Shut up," she laughed. "Have you seen the Crosley Cruiser three-speed portable turntable? The black one? If she loves music, you can buy her one."

"Hell yeah! I can buy her a Bob Marley vinyl!"

"You're lucky your grandparents love you and you don't have to work for yourself," my mom laughed.

"I'll get there, Mom. I don't need to rush things."

"But the earlier you are prepared, the earlier you'll be successful for your own."

Here we go again.

"I'll get there, Mom. Don't worry."

"Fine, y/l/n. Just make sure when you reach college you needn't have to ask your grandparents for money."

"I'm not even asking them to give me money," I chuckled.

"You're always like your father."

"We got the same blood, I guess."

"You're so annoying. I wonder how Lauren puts it up for you."

"My thoughts exactly."

"Alright, I need to go. I'm so tired for today."

"Have a great sleep, Mom."

"Thanks, sweetie," and before I could even say something, she spoke again. "Yes, I'll kiss your dad goodnight also to Cailux and Sailor even if he doesn't want to."
