I woke up at 5 in the morning, planning to take a jog. I remembered that I'm still in Lauren's house and she was lying on her stomach when I turned to look at her on my side. Good thing; I don't need to do gymnastics just to avoid from waking her up.

I stood up and left the room after taking off my tops and wearing my jacket instead; so I could use it for changing if I'm going to sweat since I only have extra undies in my bag. As I reached the door, a familiar voice called my name.

"Good morning, Clara," I greeted as she spotted me from the kitchen.

"You're leaving?" She asked, sounding a little disappointed.

"Oh, no," I shook my head immediately and smiled. "I'm just going to have a jog. I'll be coming back soon. Is that alright?"

"Of course, honey," she beamed and I suddenly remembered my mom. "You're always welcome here."

"Thank you," I said before she let me go.

I took my earphones in and connected it to my phone, playing it on shuffle to entertain me the whole run.

After almost three hours of running, I decided to come back. My throat is dry as fuck, probably because of dehydration. I brought myself to the kitchen of the quiet house, opening the fridge and getting some water.

"An early bird," I nearly dropped the glass when I heard the manly voice coming from behind. "I didn't mean to scare you."

It was Mike. He chuckled when he noticed my expression as I turn around.

"G-good morning, Sir," I greeted, putting the glass down in the sink.

"Mike," he corrected, flashing a cheeky smile on me.

"Right; good morning, Mike," I repeated, receiving another chuckle from him.

"You took a jog?" He questioned, pointing to my sweat-soaked jacket.

"Uh, yeah," I nodded. "I kind of need it for basketball."

"You play basketball?" He asked, shock evident in his voice.

"Yes," I smiled. "Currently the team captain."

"Wow, that's great," he exclaimed.

"It is," I replied gratefully.

"Lauren told us," he suddenly said, his demeanor changing quickly.

"About me?" I asked, not quite sure what he's talking about.
