Thanks for 70k guys!!!🎉🎉
I wrote this chapter as thank you. It's time to put the legendary flag of the minor family up🚩🚩🚩
Enjoy!!!Venice sat quietly on the couch in his dad's office, invested in his book. He wiggled his legs as he picked up the glass of juice on the table and took a sip from it before putting it back. He didn't look up because he did not want to look at a certain someone who kept staring at him.
Meanwhile, Vegas sat behind his desk, staring at Venice for minutes but the boy refused to look at him. He relaxed in his seat, still staring at the boy. He wanted Venice to at least take a glance at him so he wouldn't feel like a piece of log in the room. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore and decided to break the silence.
"Are you not going to talk to me? I purposely brought you here so you could give me company but you're making me feel like a tree. Even trees have birds giving them attention." Vegas states and Venice sighed, still not looking up.
He came out from behind his desk and plopped down on the couch beside the boy.
"Come on Venice, just talk to me. Are you mad at Daddy?"
There was still no reply. Venice was trying his best to not snap. He was a little sad about the news he heard about an hour ago. He only found out after coming to the office his dad was supposed to leave on a business trip to China and he was going to be away for a week. This hurt little Venice.
"I'm going to be mad if you do not say anything to me," Vegas said firmly.
Venice after hearing that, finally decided to look up. "Daddy, I'm the one supposed to be mad here, not you." He gave out a long frustrated sigh. "You didn't tell me you would be away on a trip and it's for a week! How do I stay a week without you?" He went back to his book.
Vegas felt guilty in a way because he didn't tell the boy and he had to find out at the office.
"Come here." He pulled Venice to his lap.
The boy tried to leave his dad's hold but the grip on him was firm and no matter how hard he tried, he realized it was useless.
"I'm not letting you go until you listen to me." Vegas' voice was a little serious.
"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier. I was planning on doing so today but you happen to hear it from my employee instead."
"But daddy, you wanted to tell me today when you're leaving tomorrow? It's not fair." Venice brought his hand up and tucked the hair falling off his dad's face behind his ears.
"I know and that's why I'm sorry. Will you forgive me? I promise not to let it happen again."
Venice knew he was being petty. His dad needed to attend to and it was inevitable. "There's nothing to forgive daddy, I wasn't really mad at you. I was just sad but make sure to tell me earlier next time."
Vegas couldn't help the smile that made its way to his lips. "I love you so much, buddy." He kissed the boy hard on the forehead before bringing him in for a tight hug."
"I love you so much too, daddy!" Venice giggled and hugged him back, his sadness from earlier completely wearing off.
"But you have to promise me something." Venice pulled back from the hug.
