Chapter 6

Kiara

Yes, I have made my decision.

Next day morning, I decided to tell my parents and Noah about my decision together and so we had planned a family dinner. The day seemed to have passed in a blink.

In the evening, I came home from office and took a shower. I was dressed in a coral yellow and green dress and braided my hair and also applied simple make up.

My mum had almost prepared a feast for dinner considering the fact that only Noah and Henry were coming for dinner.

My parents were awaited for my answer while Noah, I didn't get to see him for the entire day. Suddenly, the bell rang, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"I'll take it." I announced while making my way to door.

When I opened the door, there were Henry and Noah. Henry was dressed in his usual attire which is his coat and pants while Noah was dressed in a red and maroon shirt with a leather jacket and his favourite dark brown cargos. He was looking amazing as always.

I welcomed them inside and we all sat in the living area. There came the moment for which everyone was awaited, yes that was my answer to the proposal, my future that lied in my own hands with a yes or no!

That sounds like the Oscars are going to be announced or the VMAs. Yes that was the level of serious tension in the atmosphere.

"So, Kiara my child, what have you thought? Are you willing to marry this clumsy son of mine and bear him for the rest of your life like you have been?" Henry chuckled and Noah seemed embarrassed a bit which wasn't normal.

I think he is waiting for my answer too and so he was nervous.

Once all the laughter died, heads spun to me.

"Yes, I have made up my mind for the proposal. I will get married for Robert's sake but Noah, he is my best friend and we all know that none of us are in love with each other, so marriage is not the best choice..."

Noah and the others all seemed so sad with my response which made it difficult for me to control my grin anymore and so I gave up and started laughing.

"But, we still can take that risk, can't we?"

Everyone was taken aback with it and Noah popped up, "What?"

"I meant by a YES NOAH HASTINGS! I will get married to you."

The dropped faces twitched into huge smiles and everyone stood up.

My mum enveloped me into a hug followed by dad and said, "We are proud of your decision sweet heart", and kissed me on my forehead.

"Darling, I am so happy that you took this decision, now I can die in peace without worrying about him", Henry said while pointing towards Noah and we all chuckled.

Noah flashed his signature smile to me as I returned him the same.

Happiness was surrounded in the house and we enjoyed the dinner.

Later, mum told Noah and I to have a word alone among us. We decided to take a walk down the street.

"Kia, are you happy with your decision? Or, it is because of Robert? Or-", Noah tensed up.

I cut Noah, "No, no, it's my very own decision Nohi. I know we aren't in love but I would still want to give us a chance. You are the one who has always been there for me. You know I am addicted to coffee and need one every morning. You know I can't express feelings easily. You know I need people around me to pamper me and keep me close, you know what gives me happiness. You are my Tom and know me the best, Noah Hastings."

He looked stupefied with my explanation and then as the words got into him, his face turned into a huge smile. He immediately wrapped his arms around me.

"You have no idea how happy I am right now Kia! You have given me big reason to be happy for the rest of my life. I promise you that I will always keep you protected, pamper you like you want and never let that smile of yours fade."

I was touched with his words and melted for those brown orbs that screamed truth. I knew it that even though he does not love me, he will always keep me happy and that is what made me say yes to the proposal.

We decided to walk back as it was getting cold and we weren't well equipped for it. He interviewed our hands and flashed me a smile. It wasn't awkward; instead I found myself smiling back at him.

Next day, Noah and I decided to announce this to the group too and so we all met for lunch.

Tam knew about the whole situation and she was awaited too for the answer but I did not tell her as we had decided to tell the whole group together.

"Now, tell me fast." Tam pouted for the hundredth time.

"Okay fi-"

"Tell me what? Okay, What are am I missing?" Jub interrupted me.

"We", Isa corrected her.

"Nohi?" I asked him to tell them the whole thing as our crew gave us a puzzled look.

Then Noah told them the whole situation and they all were shocked but then smiles crept on their faces. As soon as Noah completed his part, their heads turned to me so that I could tell them my decision.

"Please tell us, you told him yes." Isabella squeaked.

I gave a wide smile saying, "Maybe"

"Omg! You'll are getting married", Jub jumped from her seat and hugged me following the others while congratulating us.

My decision has made everyone happy and so I am even more assured that I have done the right thing by saying yes to Noah.

It has been two weeks since I have said yes for the marriage and spoke once to Robert too, he seemed to be very happy about my decision. Robert has met Noah many times and he likes him a lot. So, he approved of my groom too.

Noah and I have been spending quite a lot of time together and I am so happy having him around. He does all the sweet things he can to bring a smile on my face and for a person like Noah who doesn't have a single romantic bone in his system, this is huge!

"Sweetie, your dad and I have a small surprise for you", my mum came up to me.

"We have planned a small vacation for you, Noah and the rest of your crew to Monte Carlo and Paris before the wedding so that Noah and you can get some time by yourselves and since you'll were going, Tamara asked us if the rest of them could join and we said yes. You'll are leaving on Sunday which is in next two days so if you want, you can start to pack", Dad told me.

Listening to this most amazing news I squeaked in joy.

Oh my god! Monte Carlo and Paris! They are dream destinations and I am going to live them. Yayyy!!!!

I thanked my parents, pecked their cheeks and gushed to my room to start packing. Before that I, of course did the happy dance on my bed.

I know, I know I am 23, so what? People can't express happiness at 23?

I am going for a vacation! Yay! I am going to Paris and Monte Carlo?! Double Yay!

YES! Kiara has agreed to marry Noah even though she isn't aware about the fact that Noah loves her. What do you'll think, will Noah tell her that he loves her or not?

Monte Carlo and Paris, amazing places, aren't they? I have always dreamt European vacations. They are heaven on earth. Well, it also has a lot in store for the crew. Stay stuck guys.
