Kiara

"Now for the last time, Hastings, if you don't turn that shit off, I swear to god, I will chop your head off", Tam threatened Noah for the hundredth time.

Noah rolled his eyes and finally shut the radio.

We were in Aidi's truck on our way to the base of our camp. It has been almost an hour we have left and Aidi was driving while Noah found the passenger seat as we girls squeezed ourselves at the back.

All the way Jub has been weirdly tensed, Noah and Tam are as always busy arguing over petty things while sometimes acknowledging me too (Yayy! Not -,-) while Aiden and Isa were stealing some glances. I think by the end of the trip we might have a couple in our group.

Suddenly, Aidi drove down to a snack café. Before anyone could question him, he announced himself that he wanted to pee and left. We all got off and stretched ourselves. Isa too excused herself out and left. Tam and Noah were hungry and went to buy some food for us while leaving Jubilee and me alone.

"Jub"

"Jub"

I called her but she was lost somewhere, I went up to her and called her again.

"Y-Yeah, Kiara"

"Jubilee is everything alright? You seem all lost."

"Lost and me? Nah! Kiara you are just over thinking, I am alright. I just...um...couldn't sleep well in the car when those mad monsters were busy fighting in the car eh, trust me I-I am fine."

"Okay if you say so and Jub I have a decent ear, you know that right?"

"Of course"

I knew that something wasn't right but she was just not ready to tell me, so I thought that I should give her that space for a while.

"Come on, let's see if Noah and Tam are safe with each other", she fake laughed and dragged me to the store.

"Finally we reach", Isa announced.

All of us bolted out of the car.

I walked to the bank of the river and allowed the winds to brush through my face; the feeling was amazing and it felt like a different closure to the nature.

"Guys, let's put up the tents", said Noah.

"Aye Aye Captain!" Aiden saluted.

I chuckled and joined them to hold up the tents. By the time we were done with the setting up of the tents and other camping resources, the moon had made his way up to the sky and the stars accompanying it; they were sparkling bright and decorating the beautiful canvas of nature.

"Time for some scary stories", Tam grabbed us around the bonfire and handed us all cans of beer.

"Do you even know how to spell scary?!" Noah taunted.

"Oh, Shut up Hastings!"

Tam started to narrate her scary story, "There was once a little girl who had a cute doll. That doll was her favourite and she carried it everywhere with her. Once in a heavy pouring night with thunders all across the sky, the doll came to life. She first woke the girl up and scared her with her attics and then the rest of the family was targeted. The doll gave them a death threat and said 'When I, your grandmother was alive, you'll tortured and killed me and so now I will not let you'll live in peace-"

"Okay, stop! This is enough scary for the day Tam", Isa said.

We all chuckled and admitted Tam's skills but Noah didn't seem to appreciate it, while Aiden took advantage of the situation and grabbed Isa's hand to comfort her. They already seem so much like a couple. Jub seemed lost again, I was now worried about this girl.
