Chapter 51

Kiara

I rushed to Parker's apartment ready to confess my feelings for him. I am really nervous because I don't know if he feels the same for me or not. Either way, I will have to let this out of my chest. Tamara is right I have to tell him how I feel.

Reaching outside Parker's apartment I took a long breath and climbed out of the car. I stepped onto his porch and before I could knock on the front door, I heard some loud sounds coming from inside.

I could hear Parker shouting about something and I could hear a woman in there as well.

"You need to get out of my house and let me alone", Parker yelled.

"Parkie I am not leaving you again. I have spent way too many years without you in my life and I am not willing to make the same mistake again", the woman said.

Why is she calling Parker, Parkie? Too many years without me, what does she mean by that?

Wait, who is she, and what does she have to do with Parker?

"Parkie, darling, please try and understand, I really want us to be together and I am here to make amends. I will make everything right between us", she pleaded.

DARLING?!

TOGETHER?!

What am I even hearing?

"You've got to be kidding me now?", Parker hissed, "You want to make mends after so many years, I do not want anything from you now. Where were you when I needed you the most? Where were you when I begged you to stay? You decided to leave and now you come back." Parker sounded so hurt and angry at the same time.

"Sweetie, you know I have always loved you which is why I came to Monte Carlo after you came back from your trip to Paris and now, I have come back here as well all the way to California. Does this not prove how much you mean to me? I promise you I am here to stay and I will not leave you now", she begged.

She met Parker after the Paris trip as in our PARIS trip?!

Why did Parker not tell me about it?

Then there was complete silence.

Is this a private conservation and I should not listen to it? I should leave from here but a part of me wanted to know who is this woman and what is going on here. Parker seemed very important to her which is why she has been following him around.

But if so, why has Parker not told me about it? I had literally told Parker everything about my life and about Noah the night we met and have always shared every bit of my life with him. Why didn't he tell me about this woman?

Parker seems to care about her as well.

Could she be Parker's ex-girlfriend or maybe his ex-finance?!

No Kiara, shut up! Let's not jump to conclusions like that.

Parker will tell you about it sooner or later.

What if he does not?

Just went I was about to turn around; I accidentally bumped my leg on the planter by the porch and Parker seemed to have heard me as he came and opened the front door.

"Beautiful!"

And just like that my heart fluttered with the way he called me.

"I-I-am-I actually- um", I didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have come unannounced like that. I should leave", just when I was about to leave, he grabbed my wrist, "Beautiful, you don't need to tell me before coming here and you know that."
