Chapter 10

Kiara

Never did I ever expect this to happen. I thought Parker was gone since he did not bother to contact me in the past days when he knew where I was placed. But as they always say, expect the unexpected and that's exactly what just happened with me.

Parker handed me my shades and gave me a huge smile, "Hey"

"Hi"

"How are you?"

"I am good. How about you?" I asked him in a tone which clearly spoke that I was disappointed with his sudden vanishing idea.

And like always, he read my mind and said, "Perfectly fine and I am sorry. Firstly for the bumping trail and then I couldn't contact you, I was a bit tied up with some issues."

"It's fine Parker for both", we chuckled.

Someone cleared his throat and we noticed that both our groups were giving us puzzled looks. We laughed at their expression.

"Guys, this is Kiara, I met...no actually bumped into her the other day, and Kia these are my friends Diego and Austin", Parker pointed at the two guys who standing next to him.

I remember Parker telling me about them, they were his best friends. Diego was tall and broad with abs. He had a fair complexion too, a little fairer to Parker's. He had dark brown eyes like Noah's and golden hair. He was the wise and slightly the uptight one. While, Austin, I remember Parker told was a flirt, a womanizer. His complexion was less fair compared to Parker and Diego. He had jet black hair and deep green eyes.

"Guys this is my crew Jubliee, Tamara, Aiden, Isabella and Noah and friends this is Parker, Diego and Austin", I said while pointing at each one.

Parker knew about them and so we all exchanged greetings among each other.

"It's good to see you Noah, Kia told me that you were going to fly here today", Parker said.

"It's pleasant to see you too", Noah smiled and extended his hand.

"Kia must have told you that very soon we are going to get married too", Noah added while pulling me close.

"Oh yeah! Congratulations for that man", Parker accepted his hand.

Suddenly, Noah whispered in my ears, "You haven't told me about him, who is he?"

I nudged Noah away from them and told him the whole thing like the way I told the rest of the crew skipping the last chat with Parker about Noah and me while the rest were busy introducing themselves.

"Kia, he could have been dangerous, you shouldn't have been roaming about the whole city at night with a stranger", he whispered again.

I hope Parker is away and hasn't heard our conversation.

"Nohi, can we talk about it later please? Parker and his friends are here", I pointed at them.

"Okay, I am sorry, I just freaked out", Noah sighed.

"It's okay Nohi", I told him and added, "Nohi, Parker isn't a bad person he is nice. When I accidentally spilled coffee on him, he could have reacted angry about it but instead he not only forgave me but also did he said he would help us around."

"Okay, if you say so", he gave me a weak smile and then I dragged him to the group.

I knew Noah was concerned for me and that is why he overreacted.

Typical Nohi!

Parker cut my thoughts and said, "Kia, we all are free right now, would you and your group want to hang out with us?"

"Sure", I gave Parker a smile.

"How about we all go clubbing?" Austin suggested while winking at Tam.

"I think that's a great idea", Tam immediately responded.

This girl is so on with it.

We all chuckled and went to the club.

The blasting music filled my ears as we entered the club. It was said to be one of the finest clubs of Monte Carlo. Aiden and Isa took the dance floor followed by Tam and Austin. I decided to grab myself a drink first.

I sipped my drink and let the contents burn my throat. I watched Isabella and Aiden dance and they looked so cute together, these two lovebirds need to confess right now! Someone knock their senses please!

"Cute aren't they?!" someone whispered in my ears.

I jumped in surprise and found Parker there.

"You scared me"

He chuckled and ordered himself a drink, "So, Kia how is my city treating you?"

"Amazing", I smiled at him.

"That's great and Noah?"

Before I could say someone said, "Did I just hear my name?"

Did Noah hear the whole sentence?! Please tell me no!

"Hey guys, I thought I just heard my name?" Noah said.

Think of something.

"Yeah, I was just telling Parker about us", I spitted.

Way to go Kia! How much more stupid could you be?! How can you sound like Parker?!

"Yeah buddy, actually, I was just congratulating Kia for your wedding", Parker spoke.

I just nodded in agreement.

Please don't ask anything else.

Noah looked between Parker and me and then said, "Oh Okay."

Suddenly Noah extended his hand and asked, "Kia, would you like to join me for a dance?"

I immediately accepted it and said, "Yes"

We excused ourselves from Parker and went to the dance floor.

Noah placed his hands on my waist and I placed mine around his neck. We swayed on the beats.

Suddenly Noah whispered, "You look beautiful today."

Blush crept on my cheeks as I smiled back at him.

We stayed there for a while, until we all decided to dance together with the whole group. Everybody joined us on the floor and we all showed our moves. Occasionally, we went to the bar counter to sip some drinks.

The night was a blast, a break free time we all craved for.

Next day morning, I woke up early, which wasn't usual but I didn't seem to get sleep so I decided to go for a jog.

I wasn't too drunk last night so I didn't have a hangover, surely will Tamara and Austin need aspirins.

I grabbed my tracks, tee and shoes and set out for a jog.

I started jogging while taking the view of the surroundings.

It was very pleasant early in the morning with the birds chirping and the beautiful sight of the sun which had just risen. The streets were almost empty except, the little kids who were waiting for their rides to arrive for school.

Suddenly, I spotted a similar face sitting on a bench across the street.
