Chapter 26

Kiara

I have been waiting for Tamara to come home, today finally she managed to get time for me. She had been busy for the past whole week, poor girl is working to her full capacity to get into the upcoming fashion week which is going to be held in Paris.

Even I have been very occupied in the past whole week since we will be having different clients from the globe coming down to our office for the next project. Jubliee, Darcy, me along with another two working colleagues have been asked to take care of them by dad and Henry.

"KAY?"

There she is!

"Tam come to the kitchen", I tell her.

"I am so sorry Kay for not being able to see you after the date. This fashion week has kept me on my toes, all week", she came and gave me a hug. I could see how tired my best friend was, definitely she has been on pins and needles.

"It's alright! You have made it right now so we can talk now. What do you want for dinner? We can call now", I said.

"Pizzas please!" she grinned.

"Okay! You can go upstairs and freshen up while I place the order", I chuckled and went to call for our food.

Within twenty minutes our pizzas had arrived and so did Tam come down. We sat in the hall and decided to eat while filling each other about our whereabouts.

"So how are preps going for the fashion week?" I asked while having my slice of pizza.

"As of now it is going very well hopefully we should get through it. Next week there is a trial round for the selection of the Paris Week and hopefully we will be representing California in there. I am super excited about it but with fingers crossed."

"That is amazing Tam, I wish you all the best for this", I told her.

"You tell me how is your preparation for the new clients going?"

"It's hectic but we'll survive", I chuckled.

"I hope you do. Now tell me about the date, in detail without missing an alphabet", she said while stressing on the word detail.

I started telling her about the whole date from the time we left from my place till the time Noah dropped me back home, even telling her about Parker's call. Now came the part that had made things difficult around me and Noah which is also one of the reasons I haven't met him from the whole past week except we might bump into each other due to being neighbours.

I can see that Noah is expecting me to talk about that moment between us and how he is uncomfortable too because of my sudden weird actions. When I told him about taking it slow, he understood that very well and agreed too but then this happened.

"To earth Kay"

"Y-Yeah"

"You were telling me something that when he came to drop to back home, then what happened?"

"Sorry I-"

"zoned out, yes I know but now tell me", she completed.

"So yeah when he came to drop me I wanted to thank him for the beautiful date that he took me for and all the efforts he took for the evening, in order to thank him I was going to peck his cheeks, well that was the plan, you know", Tam nodded in understanding, waiting for me to continue.

"When I was about to peck him, he just stepped down the porch and suddenly he just turned-"

"He turned and what Kay?"
