prompt: Mother's Day

A/N: It's been a long, long while! I've missed you guys! Belated Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, even to the dads that act as moms to their children. Kudos!

I've made this one as if Sasuke doesn't have issues with Sarada with regards to his absence in her life. They're one big happy family here, because they deserve it. This will have a sequel, by the way. :)

It's past Mother's day when Uchiha Sasuke returned home from a week-long mission.

He was supposed to be home three days ago. He could remember his daughter's words before he left clearly on his head.

"Dad, we need to surprise Mom on Sunday! Finish your mission quickly!"

If he were to be honest, he would admit that the event actually-although not surprisingly-slipped his mind. He wanted to go home, sure, but he met a few bandits on the way back and he had to help the victim family on their way home.

He sighed, then he felt her daughter's chakra approaching the house.

Oh well.

When she entered the house, saw, and realized that her dad's home, her eyes turned to a glare, the glare that ironically, made her look more like the person she's glaring at.

"You're a liar! I asked you to come home early for Mom because it's mother's day but you didn't!"

He stood from the couch, eyes as emotionless as ever. His daughter only glared harder.

"I'm sorry."

Sarada softened a little at his father's apology, knowing fully well that Uchiha Sasuke never, ever apologized, not to anyone (except if it's her mom and/or it's the end of a war and he's kind of at fault).

She tried to continue glaring but the small smirk on her father's lips made her stop.

"...what??"

Sasuke approached his daughter, poking her on the forehead-irritating her to no end, unknowing of what's behind the gesture.

"I have a plan for your mother, it's not much but I need your help. We're gonna make your mom cry."
