He wasn't the brightest ninja—even he would admit to that—but he wasn't that stupid enough to not see that his two teammates were meant for each other.

They obviously have feelings for each other but Sasuke was stubborn and in denial that Uzumaki Naruto, the most amazing teammate they have, finally had enough. It seemed like they both needed a little push.

Operation: Get Sasuke-teme and Sakura-chan together so they could be together and have kids and name one of them after him

Naruto knew that his best friend wasn't one to show his emotions, especially his feelings for someone, that if he wasn't his best friend, he probably would've thought he didn't have any. He knew that Sasuke was an emotionally constipated bastard—he did have a tragic past but that's beside the point—that's obviously in love with their green-eyed teammate, despite his death glares whenever he teases him about it or regardless of him trying to act cold and harsh towards Sakura.

It's funny in a way that he's kind of a third wheel whenever they're together at Ichiraku's or training or wherever. Sasuke is the master of subtlety but he's Sasuke and he's Naruto and they're best friends, sort-of brothers that he could see him staring at Sakura whenever she's not looking, or those feelings of longing and every other emotions he felt because of her in his eyes that he tried so hard to hide under that emotionless façade.

Sometimes, he just wanted to punch Sasuke in the face and yell at him to just freaking admit his feelings and stop hurting Sakura-chan because she didn't deserve it. She deserved to be happy and so does he—no matter how much he thinks he doesn't.

They were eating at Ichiraku's after an intense sparring session, there were only the two of them because Sakura had an emergency at the hospital and the others were out on missions.

"Hey teme, did you know that Sakura received a love letter during the war?" He asked so casually. Sasuke tensed and he had to fight the urge to grin.

When Sasuke didn't respond, he continued, "She did and I heard that he's coming to town." He saw that teme's hands curled into fists and this time, he couldn't stop the grin that formed on his face so he pretended to slurp some of his ramen.

Just a little more.

"Well, Sakura-chan is single and ready to mingle and he probably still likes her and he's in the village so there's a big chance that he would ask her out and..." he stopped mid-sentence because Sasuke stood up, slammed his hand at the table with money for his food, and glared at him before turning around and storming out of the stall.

This time, he grinned, before going back on his noodles.

That evening, he was on his way home when he stopped on his tracks when he saw two people—with their backs on him but he couldn't mistake that spiky, chicken butt-like hair and that pink hair that just stands out despite the darkness—holding hands.

He smiled before continuing on his way.

"About time."
