It’s Friday night. It only meant one thing: it’s Team Seven’s Weekly Dinner. Sakura and Sasuke are assigned for this week. They have just prepared the table and food. The other members said that they would be late— due to mission reports that must be passed or else.
They are now currently seating at their respective places, across each other, waiting for the others to come. They looked at one another.
Minutes passed and Sakura became uncomfortable to Sasuke’s stare.
"What?" she asked,
He’s still looking at her. “Hn." he grunted.
She fiddled with her fingers, trying not to look at him. “It’s rude to stare.", she told him.
"I know." he said as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world."
"Well then, you’re really rude, you know." she rolled her eyes.
He smirked. She looked at him. She was about to open her mouth to say something when he got serious again that all her words died out before even managing to say them. “You’ve grown, Sakura." he stated.
She was caught off-guard. She composed herself. “Well, you didn’t expect me to be the same girl with a 12-year old body, right?" she laughed nervously
"I didn’t. It’s just that…", he trailed off. Her heart sped up again. He’s scrutinizing her like a math geek would to a problem. "…not everything changed." he finished.
Sakura scowled. “If you’re talking about my chest then—" he cut her off. She’s still glaring at him.
"You still have a large forehead." he bluntly stated. Her right eye twitched.
But Sasuke is not done yet. “You still talk too much." Glare "You still…" he trailed off, realizing his next words.
Sakura scowled even deeper. “Still what?" she pushed.
He looked at her directly in the eyes and said in a soft, almost inaudible voice. But Sakura heard it anyway.
"You still love me."
She stiffened.Her eyes widen and her mouth was hanging open. “T-that’s—" she stuttered.
"After all this time. And because of that, you’re still annoying."
