[A/n: I was just watching my snapchat flashbacks n 2 years ago today i went on an hour rant about how i hate christmas n how upset i was at the fact that Suna Rintarou wasn't under my tree]
Sugawara's POV:
Dinner was served and it was delicious up to the last crumb. Oikawa was quite a talented cook, i don't think i tell him enough.
It was already starting to get dark outside when it hit 7pm.
"Ready for the second surprise?" He says out the blue.
Thinking dinner was my second surprise, i hesitantly nod my head.
He takes my hand in his and it makes my entire arm tingle from the warm feeling.
He takes me upstairs towards his bedroom. I might be overthinking it, but i swear he hesitated a little before opening the door to let us in.He doesn't look at me when we enter. But i suppose i wasn't looking much as him either. i was more looking at the giant white sheet than hung off the roof covering the entirety of his wall opposing his bed.
His bed was reorganised so all the pillows and covers faced towards the sheet wall and against the wall opposing. And then a stool stood in front of that with a baby blue mini projector. The pieces fit together."Cinema?" I ask, he nods without even glancing at me. I stare in awe around the room again. This is a lot... this is awesome... "Its.. magnificent.."
Oikawa laughed, probably at my choice of words, then jumped onto the bed and picked up his laptop that was attached to the projector with a wire.
"I'd like to introduce you to the best musical movie marathon you'll ever have in your life." He finally speaks.Just hearing 'musical marathon' makes me jump in joy. I join him on the bed and quickly cover myself in the mountains of covers.
"Starting off with the unbeatable, Grease."
"I could literally have you right here and now."
I could. I totally would. This man is making me swoon. He always makes me swoon."Easy tiger." He nervously laughed as he looks down in an attempt to hide the dusted red on his face.
Either kiss me or kill me right now.
We got comfortable together, i didn't hesitate to cuddle up in Oikawa's arms. I was too grateful for everything today i needed to be as close as i could to him. I needed to give him as much thanks as i could.
It was only two films later when Oikawa claimed he was peckish for a snack. I agreed with him and totally felt like a snack. He told me to wait and he'll bring something up.
When he left the room my giant grin didn't fade one bit. I could explode with happiness. I could kick my legs in exhilaration.
I could confidently say this was the most perfect day ever!He returned after ten or so minutes. He returned with.... a cake with candles... holy shit. Like this was a full cake, a birthday cake with birthday candles.
Only it didn't spell 'happy birthday'.
I couldn't quite make out what it said with the flames but i could tell it didn't say happy birthday."Holy shit." I laugh when he carefully brings to cake towards the bed. The flames of the candles danced with the movements and lit Oikawa's face with a golden-y tint. Speaking of Oikawa's face, i couldn't tell if it was the lighting or if his face was a deep tomato red. He wore an incredibly shaky smile.
"Make a wish." He ordered.
I made a wish.
I wish i was this happy everyday."Now read it."
I looked at each candle on top of the chocolate covered cake that spelt out..
'B O Y F R I E N D ?'
