Coach Sylvester joined them in the choir room that week after her attempted sue-icide. "Guys, it's not up for discussion, okay?" Mr Schue calls out over them, "Look, it's no secret that Coach Sylvester has taken her licks." He tells them. "I mean, just wanky." Santana comments, getting a glare from Sue. "And I believe she could use a bit of sympathy from us." Mr Schue continues ignoring Santana's comments. "Sympathy? From us?" Mercedes scoffs, "All she's ever done is make our lives miserable.""She got exactly what she deserved." Santana says. "You're lucky I left my blowgun at home, airbags, 'cause I've got a clear shot of your nonnies." Sue shoots back, earning a scowl from Santana. "Guys. Coach Sylvester has had her recent setbacks, but she is a proven champion. Now, we could do worse than to have that kind of a winning record in our midst." Mr Schue explains with a sigh.
"Let me break it down for you guys, I am no longer a threat to you people, alright? I'm just hoping that your singing and dancing will pull me out of my doldrums and give me a reason to live. Is that too much to ask?" Sue asks.
Reluctantly agreeing, the glee club turns back to Mr Schue as he begins the lesson, "I received an envelope in the mail today. We know that we're gonna be facing up against Kurt and the Warblers at regionals." He tells the class. "Sweet Porcelain," Sue says. "And it looks like this year we face Aural Intensity again. They cleaned our clock last year. Seems like the governing board has assigned a theme to this year's regionals and part of our score will be based upon how well we interpret it. This year's theme: Anthem. Now, who can tell us what an anthem is?" Mr. Schue asks.
"It's the bottom of an ant's pants," Brittany says confidently. "So close. So close. No. An anthem is an epic song filled with a- a groundswell of emotion that somehow seems bigger than itself even bigger than the person performing it," Mr. Schue explains. "Mr Schue?" Sam asks, raising his hand. "Oh, hey, Sam. I didn't even notice your new haircut," Mr. Schue says. "Yeah. I've been working on a new image to go with my new one man band, the Justin Bieber Experience." Sam says, as he stands up and goes to the front of the room. "Dude, that haircut makes your mouth look even bigger," Puck says, and Venus smacks his arm. He lets out a quiet 'ow'.
"Let her speak," Sue says and Venus looks at her weirdly. "Laugh all you want, but that kid's an epic talent and there's a number I've been working on that I've been wanting to show off. And I think it qualifies as an anthem, because it's just hugely emotional and sums up our generation," Sam continues. "All right. Let's hear it, buddy," Mr. Schue tells him.
Baby - Sam Evans
Throughout the song, Sam was looking at Venus the whole time. Venus was feeling butterflies the whole time he performed. "I gotta get that girl on my Cheerios," Sue comments.

When the boys all saw how the girls liked Justin Bieber, they all wanted in on the Justin Bieber Experience. Well everyone except Finn, he didn't really like the whole thing, maybe it was because Quinn was fawning over Sam and he was jealous, who knows? It wasn't just the boys who'd changed their looks either. The girls seemed to have been copying Rachel Berry, through Brittany, and were rocking carousel horse sweaters and plaid skirts, well except Venus. She was wearing her usual collared button down shirt with a sweater vest and a skirt with tights.
Anthems week had actually just turned into Justin Bieber week. When all the boys rolled into the classroom with their hair swooped to the side, Venus couldn't help but laugh. "You-you-" She couldn't even finish a sentence without bursting out laughing. "Babe," Sam whines, feeling embarrassed. "Sorry sorry it's just-" She pauses as she now notices the wide eyed stares at her. "What?" She questions, and just like that, questions were being thrown at her left and right. She looks at Sam pleadingly and puts her hands over her ears to block out the sound.
"Hey!" He yells through the sound, "Yes, me and Venus are together. We've been together 2 months," Sam explains. "I'm surprised you guys didn't know," Santana says, with her arms crossed. "You knew?" Quinn asks her. "I cornered V and asked her about it," Santana tells her.
"Anyways, it looks like the guys here are ready to give us their anthem," Mr. Schue says, getting them back on track. "Hey, everybody. We are the new and improved The Justin Bieber Experience and we think this song is an anthem because everything Bieber does is epic," Sam says. "Truth," Artie says. "Anyway, this song, like all the songs I sing, is for my girlfriend Venus. Hit it," Sam finishes.
Somebody To Love - Sam - Artie - Puck - Mike
When they finished all the girls cheered for them. Venus fans herself off playfully. When Sam looks at her she blows him a kiss.

"You wanna go to Color Me Mine with me tonight?" Sam asks Venus, slipping his hand into hers as she walks out of the choir room. "Sure! I'd love to go with you," She agrees, swinging their hands back and forth. "Cool!" He says.
