Ever since Artie and Venus kissed, they haven't talked. They've been glancing at each other when the other isn't looking. Venus was walking past Tina and Mike in the hall when she heard Mike say he got an A minus. She stops in her spot and turns towards them, walking up to Mike. "You got an Asian F?!" She yells quietly. Mike nods slowly, ashamed. "My dad is all over me." He tells them.
"You shouldn't have to hide your dreams. Just be honest with him." Tina tells him, Venus nodding in agreement. "Oh, like how you were so honest about pretending to stutter all that time?"He tells Tina. "Point taken." She says. Before she could say anything else, Mike had already walked off.

Venus was sitting in the auditorium, wanting to talk with Artie after auditions. She had spaced out and didn't know it until someone cleared their throat. She came back to Earth and turned towards the person. "Wha-" She cuts herself off, tears springing to her eyes immediately. She throws her arms around them and doesn't let go. "Don't cry V." They say patting her back. She leans back from the hug and stares at them.
"Sam." She breathes out, touching his face. His face softens, probably knowing what was happening. "I left, didn't I?" He asks her. "Yeah." She breathes out, nodding. "I come back." He tells her. "You do?" She asks him, finally letting go of his face, but takes a hold of his hand. "I do." He answers. "I can't tell you when though." He says. "That's ok." She tells him. "What's been happening?" He asks her. "Oh! Um... me and Artie went on a date last week." She tells him, hesitantly.
"Oh that's right. You guys did go on a date before I came back." He says to himself. "What happens?" She asks him curiously. "You guys decided that it would be better if we were friends. You told him that you still liked me, and he liked Sugar." He tells her with a scrunched up nose, trying to remember the details that Venus told him. "He does?" She asks with a grimace. "Yeah." He tells her nodding.
"I'm kinda relieved actually." She tells him. "You are?" He questions. "Yeah. I miss you too much to be in another relationship. I thought that I would hurt him if I continued a relationship with him. Are we still friends in the future?" She asks him. "Oh yeah. You guys are like best friends, well other than Blaine." He tells her.
Before she could say anything else, she felt a tugging in her chest, telling her that it was time to go. "Bye Sam." She tells him. "Bye V." He says. She blinks and she's back in the auditorium, Mike walking onto the stage and auditioning. She claps as soon as she's finished.
When Artie leaves the auditorium, Venus catches up with him. "Artie, I need to tell you something." She says, standing in front of him. "Me first." He says with a sigh. "Look, I know that you still have feelings for Sam. I think it's best if we stayed friends." He tells her, looking guilty. "Me too. Santana kept pushing me into getting over Sam and getting a boyfriend and I'll admit, I do have a tiny crush on you, but I'm just not ready." She tells him. "Friends?" Artie asks, holding his hand out. "Best friends." She tells him, shaking his hand.

"Right, just before we dive into another booty camp, I just want to say how impressed Mike, Venus, and I have been with everyone's progress." Mr. Schue beams at the group. "Uh Brittany? Why are you here?" Mr. Schue asks. "Cause I intend on, you know, dancing my way into the voters' hearts!" Brittany explains, earning herself confused looks. "Alright. Now your homework assignment was the 'Widow maker' perhaps that hardest show choir dance move ever. Now when you get it right, one of us is going to tap you out then you can take a seat." Mr. Schue explains, starting the count.
Almost immediately, Venus tapped out Brittany, who knew the move perfectly. Mike tapped out Blaine, who stood to the side, cheering on the group. Eventually, Finn and Mercedes were the only ones left on the floor. Mike stood, willing Mercedes on as she tried to do the move, and Mr. Schue was willing Finn on. "Come on Finn, you can do it." Mr. Schue encourages.
"No he can't!" Puck exclaims. "Oh yeah?" Finn spat back. "Yeah!" Puck's provoking seemed to give Finn the last ounce of determination to prove him wrong and he finally managed to complete the move, sending a smug smile to Puck as he was tapped out. Only Mercedes was left and she looked pretty embarrassed about it. "My ankle hurts." She complains. "Push through it." Mr. Schue insists. "I don't feel good!" She adds.
"You're fine." Mr. Schue tells her. "No I'm not!" Mercedes yells, standing up for herself. "Look Mercedes, I want you to be the best you can be, did you even practice this?" Mr. Schue asks, sighing. "Stop picking on me!" She shouts, annoyed. "You're always singling me out, making me look bad!" She tells him. "That's crazy!" Mr. Schue protests. "No you're crazy! For not letting me shine!" Mercedes accuses. "Where's Rachel, huh? I don't see her here being part of the team!"
"Rachel practices every night." Finn defends Rachel's. "No one asked you Finn!" Mercedes spats, "Everyone knows that Rachel is your favorite!" Which is a lie, Finn's his favorite. "That's not true!" Mr. Schue defends himself. "No it's true. You give that skinny Garanimal-wearing ass-kisser everything! And you know what? For two years I took it, but not anymore, I'm done! I've outgrown you. I've outgrown all of you!" She shouts, pointing her finger first at Mr. Schue, then at the rest of the room, turning to walk over and kicking over a music stand Finn Hudson style. Mr. Schue let out a deep sigh. "Mercedes, you walk out that door, you're out of glee club!" He says, annoyed. Mercedes stops in her tracks, hesitating as she processes the information. Keeping her head up high, looking back at the New Directions one last time, before walking out the door.
