Everyone at Mckinley were upset about the news of David Karofsky's suicide attempt. Gathering them in the auditorium, Mr. Schue had the glee club sit on the floor in a circle as he held out a jar of peanut butter and a spoon. "Mr. Schue, why do you have a jar of peanut butter with one spoon?" Mercedes asks what they all were thinking. "Yeah, there's sixteen of us here and I only feel comfortable sharing a spoon with about half of you." Sugar says, throwing pointed looks around the circle.

"Well it's come to my attention that our good friend Rory Flanagan has never tasted peanut butter." Mr. Schue tells them, handing him the jar and the spoon as the glee club's mouths fell open. "Dude." Venus says in shock, turning to look at Rory who shrugs in reply. Taking the spoon and a scoop of peanut butter, Rory stuck it into his mouth as everyone watched with anticipation. "Oh my god, this is like the best thing I've ever had." He exclaims, mouth full of peanut butter. "Ew gross." Venus says, looking away from him.

Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces, Kurt couldn't help but feel down, "Mr. Schuester, whilst this is all incredibly moving, it's kind of been an emotional week for some of us." Kurt tells him. "Yeah Mr. Schue, what's the point of this?" Finn asks, curiously. "The point is, that Rory just had a brand new experience — something as simple as peanut butter." Mr. Schue explains. "You guys are young. I want you to promise me that no matter how depressed you get, no matter how hopeless or alone you feel, you'll try your best to imagine all the amazing experiences you have ahead of you." Mr. Schue tells them.

"Mr. Schue, look, I know we're a little dramatic sometimes, but I don't think anyone will ever consider taking their own life." Mercedes tells him, as Venus looks down. "I did." Everyone's head snapped towards Mr. Schue in shock. While he was telling his story, Venus slipped her hand into Sams', needing the confort for what she was about to admit. When Mr. Schue was done, Venus spoke up. "I did too." She tells them in a small voice, as everyone looks at her in shock.

Clearing her throat, she doesn't raise her head. "Most of you guys know that me and my mom don't get along right?" She asks, finally raising her head to look at them, and she sees a few heads nod. "Well, um, I guess she was extra mad that day and, uh, I was sitting on the couch watching some stupid cartoon that I dont even remember, and she called me some names, said I was worthless and that how nobody would ever love me." She says, as Sam squeezes her hand for support, or to stabilize himself from going off to find her mom, she doesn't know. "I believed her." She says in a quiet voice.

"I, uh, I went to the bathroom and tried to drown myself, but, I- I couldn't do it. It's kinda hard to do when you keep floating to the top." She says, breaking down. "I- I'm glad I didn't. I wouldn't have met any of you guys." She tells them, looking at each one individually. "I wouldn't have met you." She says quietly, sobbing into Sams' shoulder. Sam sat there with an unreadable face that scared the rest of the group. "I want you to think of one of those things you're looking forward to right now. Big things." Mr. Schue says gently, taking the attention off of the sobbing Venus.

"I'm most looking forward to meeting Rachel Berry's children." Mercedes says, the first to speak up, managing to get a laugh from the group. "I want to be there to see my kids' first steps." Artie tells them. "I want to be there to see Sex in the City Part Three." Sugar says with a smile. "I'm sort of embarrassed to admit it, but I really do want to graduate high school." Puck admits, looking to the floor. "I'm gonna petition the army to change my dad's dishonorable discharge to an honorable one." Finn says with a determined smile.

"I'm looking forward to graduating from Yale at the top of my class." Quinn smiles excitedly. "I'm looking forward to the day my grandmother loves me again." Santana tells them, sadly. "I want Lord Tubbington to kick his ecstasy addiction." Brittany says quickly, taking the attention away from Santana. "I'm looking forward to teaching the future New Directions." A now calm Venus says with a small smile. "Someday, I want to earn enough money to buy my folks a new place so they don't ever have to go through losing their home again." Sam says, a small smile on his face again.

"I'm looking forward to marriage equality in all fifty states." Blaine adds. "I'm looking forward to the first time I dance at Carnegie Hall." Mike says, proudly. "I just want a song." Tina admits with a laugh. "I'm looking forward to watching my dad make a difference in Congress." Kurt says with a proud grin. "I'm looking forward to being friends with all of you for the rest of my life." Rachel says, smiling around at all the people she was able to call her friends.

Coming full circle, Rory held up his scoop of peanut butter with a wide smile on his face, "I know this sounds silly, and the peanut butter is amazing Mr. Schue, but do you know what I'm looking forward to? Winning at Regionals." He says, making the rest of them cheer.

After hearing the Golden Goblets and the Warblers perform, it was almost their turn to sing. "Those Golden Goblets madrigal singers were way better than I thought they would be." Puck says, voicing his concern. "Are you high? I couldn't hear their instruments at all." Brittany says with a scoff. Venus laughs, before walking over towards Sam, putting her chin on his shoulder, having a difficult time, standing on her tiptoes. "Are you okay?" She asks him, taking her chin off and walking in front of him. "...Why didn't you tell me?" He asks her, gently.

She frowns, thinking of the memory. "I didn't want you to worry, and to be honest, I didn't even remember about it till this week." She tells him with a small laugh, taking a hold of his hands. "Venus, this isn't funny. You wouldn't be here, and I never would have met you. I don't know what would have happened if I ever lost you." He tells her seriously, tears welling in his eyes. Venus looks down, ashamed.

"I know. I'm glad I didn't." She says, looking at him with tears in her eyes. He pulls her into a hug, both needing it after this week. When they separate, Venus looks at him and chuckles wetly, wiping her tears. "What?" He asks her, confused, looking down at himself. "You look like Blaine." She tells him, softly. "I guess I do." He says, lightly chuckling, pulling on his suspenders.

When their school was called, they gave each other a kiss, putting so much emotion into it that they shed another tear. "Let's go beat their asses." She says when they pull back from the kiss, fiddling with his bowtie. "I love you." He tells her with a smile, putting all his emotions from this week into it. "I love you too." She tells him, smiling so widely that it was starting to hurt her cheeks.
