I woke up in an unknown room, naked and with a throbbing headache. I  looked over to my left and saw an unknown man, who was also naked. Fuck. I thought as I stood up from his bed.

Flashes of last night's events flashed in my head and I remembered that he was a client of mine. I picked up my clothes and hurriedly put them on, not wanting the dude to wake up.

I was about to walk out of his apartment when I saw his wallet on the counter. Well....he didn't pay, so... I thought as I took the bills and stuffed them in my pocket before walking out.

...

A deep sigh emitted from my lips as I entered my apartment, dropping my purse on the floor and falling onto the couch. I heard a door opening followed by a voice.

"Hey babe, how was your night?" My best friend, roommate and generally the best person I had ever met, Dede, said as he walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his chest and a separate one on his head. I groaned. "Terrible, the guy didn't let me finish and I have a hangover."

I felt his weight next to me on the couch and he rubbed my back gently. "Ugh, what an asshole. Don't worry sugar face, it'll be okay. I'll make you some hangover soup and then we'll go to starbucks. I'm craving a strawberry refresher right now. But first, go shower. You stink. " He laughed. I smiled into the couch at his words. He always cheers me up, I'm so grateful for him.

I sat up on the couch, rubbed my eyes and nodded. "Good girl." He said before standing up and walking to his room.

I watched him walk away for a few seconds, before also standing up and walking towards the bathroom, hoping that a nice, warm shower would wash off all of my memories of last night.

...

Dede and I walked inside the Starbucks which was a walking distance from our shared apartment. We ordered our drinks and sat down at a table near the window.

"Oh my god, I love coffee," I said as I took a sip of my caramel macchiato. It's true, I was obsessed. "Nuh-uh, this refresher slaps, do not try to convince me otherwise," Dede said as he took a sip of his drink and tucked a hair behind his ear. I laughed and shook my head.

"Oh right, how was your night?" I asked. He rolled his eyes before starting. "It was so boring. I thought I was gonna get railed by this freaking hot Spanish guy, but he had a ring so, off-limits."

"Oh, oh! But I did see a Karen yell at a stripper. It was so funny, the stripper literally had to step down from the stage to lead the Karen out. Oh my god, I actually have a video." He said and started rummaging through his bag.

"Oooh, lemme see lemme see." I said, excitedly. I was half glad that Karens existed because of how entertaining their fits were, but also half wanting to kill them because of how dramatic they were for no reason. Dede finally found his phone and his face fell once he saw the texts on it.

"Oh shit, I completely forgot I was meeting a friend here." He looked up from his phone and stopped his gaze at a blonde-haired boy standing by the entrance looking down at his phone. "Armin! Over here!" He yelled. I looked to where Dede was looking and saw a boy, who looked up from his phone and started walking in our direction.

"Hey Dede." He said with a warm, closed eye smile. Woah, he looks so nice..but maybe he's not. Don't judge a book by its cover.  "Hey Armin, I'm so sorry, I literally forgot we were meeting."

"It's totally fine, don't worry. Who's this?" He said as he looked at me. I waved with a smile. "Of course, of course, introductions. Armin, this is
Y/n, my bff, and Y/n, this is Armin, a friend from work." I looked over at Dede with a "ooh potential boyfriend?" face. He immediately understood it and waved his hand at me.

"Oh girl, no girl. Armin doesn't swing that way. And he's already got his sights on someone." He said as he raised his eyebrows at Armin. The blonde boy now had a red face and was stammering nervously. I laughed a little bit at the sight. "It's nice to meet you, Armin." I said politely. "You too."

"Anyways, here Armin, take a seat." Dede said as he stood up and pulled up a chair for Armin to sit on. "So you work with interior designing?" I asked Armin in an attempt to make small talk. "Yep. Mostly houses by the beach. I actually did college for marine biology, but I found a passion for designing and so that's what I do." I nodded in acknowledgement. "Yeah, Armin's incredibly smart. He could've become a renowned scientist or something." Dede added. Armin only laughed at that. "And what do you do?" He asked me. I gulped and smiled nervously. "O-oh, I.." I stammered.

"She works at Red's Playroom."

Dede said, nonchalantly. I widened my eyes at him and nudged my elbow in his side, giving him a scowl. "Ah, I see." Armin said, I could tell he was a little surprised but was trying to hide it. My cheeks went red and I laughed awkwardly. I didn't think the situation could get any weirder and awkward until I heard what Armin said next. My stomach dropped at his words.

"I actually have a friend that goes there often."
