Returning to Tokyo—————
The Battle City tournament was over and the evil spirit of Marik was gone for good. You and the gang, along with Serenity, Duke, Mai, and the Ishtar family returned to Domino City. The Ishtar siblings, including Odion, had to return to Egypt to resume their lives as tomb keepers. When the trio left, Mai, Bakura, Duke went on their separate ways.
When everyone else went home, you and Yugi head to the Game Shop. The boy went to his room as you walked over to the guest room. Plopping yourself onto the bed, you wonder what's going on with a friend in Tokyo. It has been a year when you moved to Domino City since your application was accepted by Domino High. Missing the times you had with Kagome, you wonder how she was doing.
With the decision made in mind, you got up from bed and called your friend through the telephone. A few rings go by and the call was answered at the other end.
"Hello?"
"Hey Kagome, miss me?"
You heard the girl gasp. "Y/n! It's good to hear you. How are things in Domino City?"
"Uh...well..."
Smiling, you told her what has transpired through your adventure, even though your journey was dealt with Egyptian magic, Millennium items, and the god cards. Kagome didn't say anything as she only listened to you talk. After telling her everything, Kagome asks you a question.
"Say, Y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"When are you coming to Tokyo?"
You hesitated, "...Maybe sometime in the next...uh," you look over to the calendar hanging on the wall, "...two weeks?"
Kagome gasped. "Really?!"
You chuckled. "Yes, Kagome."
Hearing her cheer through the phone made you smile. Looking at the clock on the wall, you had to finish the call.
"Well Kagome, I have to go and finish some unfinished work to do."
"Okay, Y/n. I'll be waiting at my end. Bye!"
You placed the telephone back to its spot and started working on said work. An hour passed by and you were done with school paperwork. Satisfied, you put them away and heard a knock on the door.
"Y/n, it's Yugi. May I come in?" Your friend asked from the other side.
"Sure, Yugi. Just give me a minute." You changed from your current clothes to your nightwear before speaking again, "Okay, you can come in."
The door opens to reveal not Yugi, but Yami. Now this surprised you.
"Oh Yami, what brings you here? I thought Yugi—"
"I know, Y/n. But I thought maybe I could speak to you about something," He cuts you off, "if that's alright with you."
You shrugged. "I guess."
The Pharaoh smiled as you both sat down on your bed. "Are you alright? After everything has happened?" He asked.
You nodded. "I feel okay, I just miss a certain friend of mine in Tokyo."
"I see." He went silent for a minute before continuing, "Do you wish to visit this friend of yours?"
"Yes. Though I wonder what has changed since I left." Looking at last year's picture of you and Kagome in Tokyo on your desk, you sighed. "I miss her and her family."
