Aether POV

Ever since I was little, I always loved to cook meals for my family. It was fun experimenting with all types of food and spices. But, as much as I loved cooking for my loved ones, I have always wanted to cook for a future partner. I never really got crushes on people, so I couldn't do those bentos. But for the first time, last year there was a boy in my science class. He had teal and dark blue hair and golden eyes. He often wore hoodies to school and didn't socialize much with the other students. Only with his siblings, his father who is a teacher, and his cousin Venti. He was very different from the other students, so I suppose that's when my interest in him sparked. From that day on, whenever I saw him I would get butterflies and get all nervous around him, I would easily get flustered and I knew I was falling deeply in love with him. But

I am a coward and refuse to talk to him. So this year I decided to start creating bento boxes for him and leave them on his desk before our English class. Mrs.Jean allows me to stop by early and drop it off by his desk. I'm a good student so she doesn't mind what I do.

Today I made him his favorite dish, Almond Tofu! I heard from Venti that Almond Tofu is his favorite dish! I walked into Mrs.Jean classroom, "Good Afternoon Mrs.Jean!" "Good afternoon Aether. Another bento for Xiao?" I nodded my head blushing. "Well I'll make sure to put it on his desk before 6th period." I smiled. "Thank you!" Mrs.Jean smiled and put the bento in the fridge. I was then on my way to 4th period, which is just a study hall. I walked over to the library and took a seat in the corner of the library. "Psst Hey Aether." I turned around and saw my best friend, Chongyun. "Hey, what's up?" I whispered. "Nothing much, just have some homework to do. Are you good in History?" He whispered. I nodded. He smiled and took a seat beside me.

After we finished study hall, we went separate ways for 5th period and met up again for 6th period.

"So did you pack another bento for your beloved husband?" I turned red and pushed Chongyun playfully. "He's n-not my husband! And yes...I cooked his favorite today." "Haha! You are basically his wife at this point! Just ask him out!" We took a seat in Mrs.Jean's class. "I could never do that! He would probably think I'm weird for liking guys...It's okay. I'm okay just cooking delicious meals for him." "Bro, it's not that hard to go up and confess." "Hey YunYun and Aether!" We both looked up and saw Xingqiu. "Hello!" I looked over to Chongyun, he was as red as a tomato. "H-Hey!" Xingqiu waved and walked to his seat. I looked over at Chongyun again. "Not that hard to confess huh?' "O-Oh shut up!" I chuckled and watched Chongyun attempt to open his popsicle. Mrs.Jean doesn't mind us eating in her classes. We can have drinks, snacks, and small meals if we please. As long as we don't disturb the class, get our work done, and throw our trash away, she doesn't mind. She says that students should be able to at if they are hungry, just like she does. This is why she's one of the most favorited teachers here. "Oh look, it's your crush loverboy." I looked over to the doorway and then he entered the room. God he's so handsome. Xiao took a seat in the front and his eyes lit up when he say the bento. He gave a small smile and opened up the bento. I could tell he liked the food. He sat his thing down and began eating. "Glad he likes it." I say. "More like loves it.'

Xiao POV

As I ate the Almond Tofu I felt happy and a bit of sadness. The food was amazing, whoever cooks these bentos is amazing. But, it makes me a little sad that I don't know who to thank for these bentos. I'm sure whoever makes these are just as great of a person as their bentos are. If I'm being honest, I hope it's Aether making these. Ever since I saw him last year, I have developed a crush on him. He's just so bright and caring, smart and so bubbly. But he can be so serious and funny. He's just perfect. I want to go up and talk with him, but I'm too shy. Or more like nervous. There's no way someone like him would notice me. But, it would be nice. I can just hope he is the one making these.
