Crying

Modern AU// Aether and Xiao share an apartment together and have been dating for 2 years now.

Third Person POV

Aether sat in the middle of the bed, hugging his knees tightly, his head buried into the space space between his knees and chest. He just found out that his twin sister, has gone missing. He was always by her side. But the one time he wasn't, she was gone. He couldn't hold it in anymore. One tear slipped out, then another, then another. His eyes started to create mini waterfalls.

He sobbed and sobbed, letting out all of the emotions he kept buried deep inside. Sadness, anger, scared, and most of all, devastated. He let everything out, sounds of sadness and pain came out of his mouth. He couldn't hold it in anymore. He grabbed the pillow and started punching it, he screamed, and cried. He was alone. And was taking advantage of that fact.

As Xiao entered the building he was startled by the screaming. But remind silent. He knew his lover was going through a lot at the moment. He want to let Aether let it all out. Hoping that it would help him feel better and clear his head. Once his head is cleared, he will be able to help their friend, Heizou, with the investigation.

Xiao quietly stepped inside and took off his shoes. It pained him to hear his partner in such pain, but he knew that if he interrupted Aether would not feel better. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a small snack.

He sat on the couch and heard Aether's sobs slowly quite down. After a few more minutes he got up again and went to their shared room. He knocked on the door and heard a faint come in. Xiao took a deep breath and opened the door. He wasn't the best at comforting people, but he wanted to try his best for him. "Love...here's a snack. you're favorite goldfish." Xiao said, sitting next to Aether.

Aether slowly looked up, his eyes were puffy red and still had tears falling from them. "Oo I love goldfish." Aether took to the snack from Xiao, and ate it slowly. Xiao rubbed Aether's back. "Glad you accepted it. Come here." Xiao then hugged Aether. Aether snuggled deep into Xiao's chest, letting more tears fall once again. "Shhh it's okay. Let it out."

The two sat there for hours. Xiao trying his best to comfort Aether, and Aether just crying, blaming himself. "It's not your fault love. I promise." Aether couldn't bring himself to believe that. He and Lumine had an fight and they both went separate ways. "B-But Xiao, i-if I-i di-didn't leave her! I would stil-ll have her! If I didn't forget about my computer I would have been with her! It's my fault! Because I'm so forgetful! I'm such an idiot!" Aether sob hard once more. Xiao gently cupped Aether's face and made him look at him. "Aether," He gave him a small kiss. "It is not your fault. We will find her. just trust in yourself and Heizou. Besides, I'm sure she's content with the fact that you're okay. Lumine loves you very much and wouldn't want you to be in such a situation." he kissed him once more. Aether accepted the kiss, and wrapped his arms around Xiao's neck. The two sat there kissing. Once they parted, Aether felt better. He felt calmer. Xiao wiped away the remaining tears from Aether's eyes. "There. Feel better?" Aether nodded. "Let's call Heizou! And find Lumine!" Xiao nodded.
