Orphanage Pt.2

Third Person POV:

The trio sat around a round table in the library, discussing possible escape plans. "I think we need to try and figure out what life is like outside these walls." Xiao said. Venti nodded. "Definitely. Who knows what's out there. It could be people or wild animals. Secondly I think we should plan on how to tell everyone. I mean, we can't just go out ad say something. Papa would definitely do something to us." "What should we do?" Aether asked. "Start by telling the older children and working our way down. Is that okay Aether?" Aether nodded. "So how do we deal with Papa Zhongli? He's a very smart and clever man. There's no way Papa isn't suspicious of us!" Venti disagreed. "He's suspicious of someone most definitely. I've been keeping tabs on him. He has been more observant and near by." *Ding Ding* Venti continued with his sentence, "And that's our cue to go outside and act normal. Meaning me and you play with the kids and Xiao stays by his tree being a nerd."

"Papa! Papa! We were playing hide and seek, and Paimon can't find Qiqi anywhere! What is she got lost!?" Paimon started to cry. Zhongli bent down and hugged the child. He rubbed her back gently and comforted her. The trio watched in the distant. Their backyard was huge. How on Earth could he possible find her? "Don't worry Paimon, I'll go look. Children stay here I will be right back with Qiqi." With that he walked into the forest. Aether felt his stomach turned. Venti stare blankly as Zhongli disappeared into the forest. Xiao felt like something was wrong. He didn't like this feeling. Within two minutes Zhongli returned back to the group of children with Qiqi in his arms, sleeping soundly. "Here she is children. She just decided to have a little nap." He closed his pocketwatch and looked around. The trio new exactly what he was saying. 'I'll find you no matter where you go.' Aether looked at Venti, Venti watched with a natural look. Aether than turned to Xiao and held onto his arm. Xiao felt tensed, he didn't like how fact he found Qiqi. This forest was too big for him to find her in two minutes, at least 10 if he was lucky.

"So now we know he knowns one of the kids were there that night." Aether said. The trio were by the tree and acted as if they were playing chess with Xiao. Papa Zhongli was paying with the kids, not paying any mind to them. "So we lay low for now?" Aether asked. His head was on Xiao lap, while Xiao played with his unbraided hair. Venti nodded, trying not to get distracted by the sight in front of him. 'Adorable" Venti thought. "We don't know who he suspects, so we have a little more freedom. But his attitude seems to have changed a bit."

"Gather around children, I have some exciting news!" Papa Zhongli said. He walked over to the front of the door and twisted the nob. He opened the door, and there stood a lady, who wore clothes similar to Papa Zhongli's, but made for a female. "Meet Sister Ningguang. She will be my helper because, " Sister Ningguang stepped aside and there was two babies in a basket. "We have some new guests." The younger children gathered around the Zhongli as he picked up the two sleeping babies. Sister Ningguang watched and looked over the children. "It is very nice to meet you all. I hope we can get along." "Wow she's so pretty!" Kazuha exclaimed. Paimon and Jean agreed. 

All the children were happy to be expanding their family. Except the three in the background. Aether's eyes filled with horror. While Venti's were relaxed and calm. Xiao's eyes were glaring at the new helper. Aether hugged Xiao's arm trying to find some comfort. They didn't think that Papa Zhongli would ask for help. Meaning he knew there is one or more people who know. And adding these new babies created a weakness inside of Aether. He couldn't leave them behind. He needed to take them. But how can three eleven year old's take care of new born babies?

It was now night time and the trio were on Aether's bed. "So what do we do?" Asked Aether. "We need to inform the other children sooner and plan an escape route faster. We need to get over that wall to find out what's on the other side." *Creak* The tri turned to the door and saw Paimon. She giggled quietly and made a quiet shhh sound. "Paimon is playing hide and seek~" She whispered. Once she heard foot steps pass the door she left. "Paimon is so weird. I love her." Aether chuckled. "Anyways, I think we should tell Jean and Albedo first. They're the oldest after us." Venti said. "After we tell them, we tell Kazuha, Heizou, Kaeya, and Diluc.
 Xiao nodded. "Sounds reasonable. What do you think Aether?" "I agree. But how do we tell them that we don't actually get adopted we are being sent to demons to be feed as food? And that Papa is in on this?" "That's a good question. And I, as the amazing Venti, have no idea." Aether rolled his eyes. "So helpful." Venti smiled. "I know!"

The day pasted and a new one began, and children didn't now how to tell Jean or Albedo the truth, but in all honesty, who could? But then a thought triggered Venti's mind. He told Aether and Xiao to meet in the forest. 

"What's up Venti?" Aether asked. "Last night I was thinking on how we should tell Jean and Albedo the truth, but then I realized. What if there is a spy?" Aether's eyes widened and Xiao stood unfazed. "W-What?" "Think about it. Papa suspected someone, but he seemed to have eyes on us. Before Sister Ningguang showed up. Now he doesn't bat an eye at us because someone else is watching us. Either Sister or one of our siblings." Aether was horrified. "T-There's no way! Venti that can't be true!" "Aether, but it can be. In this world it's whether kill or be killed. When people are facing death, they will do anything to make their life last longer." Aether looked over at Xiao and watched his eyes look around the room. 

"So when we tell Jean and Albedo the truth, we need to set a trap for them to test if they are the spy or not." "Sounds good. We'll tell them tomorrow."
