Continuation of the last chapter

Xiao, Aether, and Venti sat in the library looking at Jean and Albedo. "So what did you three need us for?" Jean asked, eyeing the trio. Aether stood awkwardly behind Xiao. Xiao rolled his eyes, "Aether hun, it's just Jean and Albedo." Albedo and Venti laughed, while Jean shook her head exhaling a laugh. "Aether sweetie what's going on?" "U-Um well..." Aether looked at Venti. "Jean, Albedo, we don't know how to tell you guys this but..."

"W-What you're telling us that Klee was sent to bad people? That Papa is in on this?" Albedo asked. Jean watched, processing the information. "Yes Albedo." "There's no way! Why would Papa do that? Are you sure this is not a prank?" Albedo asked the three. Jean stood and patted Albedo's shoulder. "they are telling the truth Albedo. I mean think about it, ever since Klee left Papa has been acting weird and he invited sister Ningguang to help watch us. papa has never had issues doing everything himself. And if this was a prank, Xiao wouldn't be here. Xiao hates pranks. Plus look at Aether hiding behind Xiao. This is real Albedo. Klee was given to bad people." Jean said. Albedo started to tear up. "No that can't be. Klee is such a sweet girl how could Papa do this?" Jean shook her head. "I don't know." Aether stepped out from behind Xiao and walked over to the two. "Albedo, Jean, please help us escape Papa and this house. Help us escape the bad people." Jean nodded as well as Albedo. They wiped their tears. "We will help you Aether. Just tell us what to do." Xiao spoke up, "Act like you were told nothing and keep an eye on Papa and Sister. If you notice anything out of the ordinary let us know. For now we are trying to come up with a plan." "Alright we understand. Thank you for trusting us."

Jean walked out the door and Albedo stayed behind. "Do you think Klee could still be alive?" Aether hesitated, but Venti answered. "Maybe. There's still hope." With that Albedo nodded and left.

"That was mean Venti. Why did you lie to Albedo like that?" Xiao asked. "I had no choice." "No you did. You decided to lie. Telling them there's bad people. People and demons are different." "If you think about it not really. I read a story where the people were acting more like demons they the actual demon. The real demon was nice and cared for others. Meanwhile the humans labeled him a demon because of looks. Looks don't matter, actions do." Aether spoke softly. Xiao calmed down and sat on the table. "So now what?" Venti chuckled. "We test them." "What?" Aether asked, sitting next to Xiao. He held Xiao's hand and interlocked their hands. "We have to. What if Papa has a spy? In order to ensure that no one will snitch we need to make sure they are on our side." Xiao spoke, "I agree. What if they turn on us?" "Would they do that?" Aether asked. Venti nodded. "If it benefits them. That's how the world works. I read a lot about greedyness in books."

"So what exactly is this trap?" Xiao asked. Venti giggled. "Imma tell them where we are hiding this rope, if it is gone the next day we know who is the spy! I'll tell Jean this bag is in the kitchen cupboards under the floorboard and tell Albedo this bag is in the upstairs ceiling bathroom." Xiao nodded. "Sounds good. What do you think Aether?" Aether stood, "I hate the fact I have to test my friends, but that sounds like a good plan." "Thanks Aether." Venti smiled and patted the two's heads. "Now I'll be right back don't do anything while I'm gone~"

"Venti is strange." Xiao agreed. "Yup but it's okay. Because he's our friend." "Our best friend! I can't imagine life without him."
