Chapter 18: Back To Japan

Lucy

Tears ran down my face as I looked at Terran. I immediately jumped out of my wheelchair, however I fell as I reached him. He quickly grabbed me and held me up.

Lucy: "Y-You're alive!!!!"

I pressed my face into his chest as I cried into him. He simply wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back.

Terran: "It'll be okay, Lucy"

I cried into him until I couldn't cry anymore. By the end of it, my throat was sore from crying and my eyes stung.

Lucy: "What happened? I-I thought..."

Kuragari: "I was there, you know. Granted, I couldn't do much against whatever it was you were fighting, but I managed to save him before he was crushed"

Lucy: "I would hug you right now if I could stand"

Terran: "Come on, let's get you back in your wheelchair"

He carried me over and sat be back down.

Hayu: "Perhaps now you can trust us a little more"

Lucy: "I do, but... some things still aren't adding up"

Hayu: "Such as?"

Lucy: "Why are you going to war with Mytho-Academy in the first place?"

Hayu: "What are you talking about? Mytho-Academy is the one going to war with us"

Lucy: "What?! No we aren't! We're responding to you"

Terran: "I think we've been tricked. Someone's setting up the schools against each other. My money's on Seth"

Hayu: "This... Seth, you keep mentioning, who is he?"

Lucy: "The Egyptian God of Chaos. He—"

Suddenly, my heart shattered. I remembered what happened before I got sent through the portal.

Lucy: "He... killed my Aunt..."

Terran: "Oh Lucy..."

He wrapped his arms around me nervously, however I happily accepted it.

Lucy: "He took over my Dad's body too..."

Hayu: "I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I'm sure She's enjoying a paradise"

She stood up from her desk.

Hayu: "But do tell me, you aren't a Demigod, yet Terran here has informed me that both of your parents and even your brother are. Who exactly are they the children of?"

Lucy: "Mom's the Daughter of Hades, the Greek God of the Dead. As for Dad..."

Terran: "Apophis, the Egyptian Demon of Chaos"

The simple mention of that name alone made a huge pressure fill the room. It was dead silent.

Hayu: "Apophis.... I see..."

Terran: "The point is, she was born purely human. Even our set of Gods confirmed it"

Hayu: "Which makes it all the more suspicious that she was born human. Perhaps it was meant to be"

Lucy: "What do you mean?"

Hayu: "There is a legend, older than the Gods themselves. It speaks of a group of people who are destined to defeat The Destroyer. While we have yet to confirm who they are, we believe you're one of them"

Lucy: "M-Me?!"

Hayu: "The legend references Demigods, one human, and a few that is entirely different, not human or demigods. While that human can be almost anyone, we believe it is you. You possess the key to defeating it after all. In addition... to that strange mark on the back of your hand..."
