It was a dark day in the nightwing kingdom, but that was usual on starflight's point of view. Every day ever since he was hatched, it has been nothing but darkness and fire. Starflight on the other hand was happy ignoring it by helping his father Mastermind in his laboratory.

"Starflight, can you grab some spare beakers on the shelf please?" asked his father."Sure thing dad." said starflight. He then went over to the shelf and grabbed the beakers and placed them next to his father. "Thank you son, now I need your help with obtaining some venom from rainwing #32, I am so close to getting the venom-proof armor right!" said his father.

Starflight then left the laboratory and flew towards the rainwing prison, as he flew over the lava pits and ash fumes, he noticed the statue of the former nightwing animus that died over 6 years ago.

He then flew down to the statue, it was made of volcanic rock since it was the only main resource they had, on the stand of it were letters saying.

In remembrance of stonemover, the nightwings last animus and last chance of hope

"Why, why did you leave us stonemover, we needed you." he thought to himself before taking off again to the prison. He flew towards the caves where the prison was built, it was deep underground so the rainwings would loose their ability to change invisible do to a lack of sunlight, although there as barely any in this god forsaken place

Starflight then landed at the entrance of the cave, he showed the guard his ID and then flew deep into the cave. After a minute or two of flying he landed near the rainwing his father wanted. She has gray scales witch matched her environment, although when she got here they said she was bright pink.

"Ok rainwing, I just need a little of your venom, lets take this easy." said starflight while removing the mask covering her mouth, then she whispered."Please...No more of this." she said."Sigh, Trust me, I don't want any of this either I just want to get your venom and leave this dreadful place." He said while getting the venom.

Before he put the mask back on he said."Look, I promise you once this war is over, you can leave this place and never come back." he said while putting the mask back on.

As he left the cave, he then bumped into a familiar friend."Oh hi starflight, great to see you again." said Fatespeaker.

Fatespeaker was a childhood friend of his and they were very good friends, although he could do without her constantly mentioning her "visions" to him all the time.

"Oh, hi Fatespeaker nice to see you again." said starflight."So, where did you come from?" asked Fatespeaker."Just from the rainwing prison again, I swear that place gets more dreadful every visit." said starflight."ughh, trust me I know what you mean, I had a vision last night that it will blow up soon and all the rainwings will be free soon." said Fatespeaker."Fate, Ive been dreaming about that to, but just because you had 1 dream of you doing that, it doesn't mean its a vision." said starflight.

All of a sudden, they flew right into starflight's older sister fierceteeth and her boyfriend strongwings."Hey watch where your going star dump!" yelled fierceteeth as she insulted her little brother."Its starflight fiereceteeth, get it right for once!" yelled Fatespeaker. "Can it fartspeaker, fierceteeth is talking." said strongwings. Before it looked like Fatespeaker was about to pounce him, starflight intervened.

"Look, lets just all calm down now before someone gets killed, fierceteeth Il see you back home, strongwings, good day." said starflight."Grrrr, your lucky were related, otherwise Il pound you into volcanic dust." said fierceteeth flying away with strongwings.

"Ughh, Im sorry about that fate, sometimes fierceteeth can really get on my nerves." said starflight."No problem, although we can agree she should go back to what ever hole she crawled out of and never come back." said Fatespeaker.

As they continued to fly back to masterminds lab, they noticed that Morrowseer and Princess Greatness had just flew out of it."Huh, I wondered what that was all about?" asked Fatespeaker."Same here." said starflight.

They then neared the lab but before going in, they noticed that a huge mark was blasted into the wall, It looked like Morrowseer had another rage moment again. When they entered the lab Mastermind was waiting for them, and he looked like he had something to say.

"Ah, thank you son. Umm Fatespeaker, I have to talk to my son about something important, can you give us a moment? asked Mastermind."Oh ya sure thing, see ya later Starflight." said Fatespeaker as she left the lab.

"Now son, Myself,Morrowseer and Greatness have talked about this for awhile and... I need you to leave the island." said Mastermind to his son. What his father just said was unimaginable, only Nightwings 10 and older could leave the island, this was a big opportunity for him. "Father, Why are you asking me of this?" asked Starflight."Because son, I need a very rare herb found near the diamond spray delta, but I don't trust anyone but you my son to get it for me, So I asked Greatness and Morrowseers permission for you to leave and they said yes, after Morrowseer had a rage moment about you leaving." said Mastermind.

"Wow, father this is unbelievable, thank you." said Starflight hugging his father. After that he then left the lab and met back up with Fatespeaker."SOOOO, how did that go?" asked Fatespeaker. "I just learned I get to leave the island early, I get to see the mainland." said Starflight."WOW, that is a big honor, congrats star." said Fatespeaker.

"Ya, I guess I have to get going now. Il see you next time Fate." said Starflight as he left Fatespeaker. Starflight then flew towards the tunnels witch lead to each of the kingdoms, he was looking for the one that lead to the mudwing kingdom.

"Welp, goodbye fire, hello Mud." Thought Starflight as he entered the tunnel, what he was about to see next, would change his entire thinking of the other kingdoms, completely.
