Chapter 5: Where they are(Sunny)

It was a bright afternoon in the sand kingdom, but this chapter starts in the scorpion den. Once the most ruthless and roughest thief's hangout in the entire sand kingdom, now a prosperous place where dragons can hide from the war.

And in it was Sunny, the only known hybrid in the entire war, and she was looking for someone."Cmon Ostrich, come out to play." said sunny as she was looking for ostrich. All of a sudden sunny was pounced by a 2 year old dragonet."Found you, Better luck next time sunny." said ostrich as she got off Sunny. "Nice to see you can still catch someone." said sunny as she rubbed her sore back.

"Welp I better get going, Mom and dad are probably waiting for me." said ostrich. She then ran off to her parents and Sunny then remembered that she has to get back home to her parents so she ran off to her parents place.

So Sunny ran past the market stands and the orphanage and she finally made it to the outclaw's base, where the outclaw gang, who ran the scorpion den hanged out and where sunny could find her parents. Just then she bumped into her mother Thorn.

"Ah, there you are beetle, I was looking for you." said thorn while hugging her daughter and calling her by her nickname. "Hey mom, is dad here with you?" asked sunny."Sadly no, he had to leave early because he wasn't feeling well, I think the last animus spell was to much for him." said thorn. It was true, a sandwing forced Stonemover to cast a spell that what ever he touched turned to gold, thankfully he was dumb enough to touch himself and transform into gold, although Stonemover was very weak after that.

"Well I better get going, your father is waiting for me, Il see you home tonight beetle." said thorn as she left the tent. "I don't get it about her." said a mysterious voice. Sunny turned around to see it was her adopted brother Qibli. Qibli was rescued by thorn from his evil mother and siblings, and he's been like a brother to her ever since.

"What do you mean?" asked sunny looking at her brother."What I mean is that she controls 1 of the biggest neutral groups in the entire war, why doesn't she go ahead and attack the enemy already, I would kill to beat up a nightwing." said Qibli pounding his fist."Qibli, you do realize my dad IS a nightwing right? said sunny. Qibli's eyes widened a tiny bit and then he said."Well yeah, but he's an exception."

"Well exception or not, we treat other equally,OK?" yelled sunny towards her brother."Ok ok, I thought you were the nice one of your family." said Qibli as he left the tent. Sunny always wanted the den to be equal with her father because not everyone believed he was truly trust worthy, but sunny knew her father was a kind and Nobel dragon who will protect his family.

As sunny was about to leave the tent, she overheard Six-claws, Thorn's second in command talking to some of the other outclaw's. So she schooched in closer and got to hear what they were saying.

"Alright, as you guys known Prince smolder has been caught leaving the stronghold on a daily basis now, we might be able to intercept him and get in." said Six-claws. What does prince smolder have to do with anything? thought sunny. "Yes, but as you also know Burns forces are getting closer to the den, if they march for another 3 weeks, they will most likely attack the scorpion den." said addax.

Sunny couldn't believe what she just heard. Her home, on the verge of being attacked by Princess Burn, The warmonger of the Sand kingdom. She couldn't tell anyone what she just heard, so she sneakily left the tent and ran back to her home.

Later that night, Sunny was watching the stars and was wondering about what she heard today. An attack, here, I just still can't believe it. Thought sunny as she looked out her window, All of a sudden her father came up to her.

"I see something has caught your mind, you wanna talk about it?" asked her father. "Nah, not really." said sunny looking at her father. "Sunny, Im your father you can talk to me about anything." said Stonemover.

"Sigh, I guess what's bothering me is the war, Im all safe here but others are out there being tortured by the enemy, I just wish I can go out there and help them." said sunny. Although what she said was partly true and also a lie cause she didn't want to tell her father about the scorpion den being under threat.

"Hmmm, well I think I know what you need, why don't you take 1 of my old tunnels that I made and go to the rainforest or mud kingdom for a few days, Il tell your mother about the trip and we will make sure nobody panics while your away, and Il also make sure Qibli docent try to start a search party to find you... Again." said stonemover.

Sunny thought of that day when her brother tried to find her when she was young and only playing a game hide n seek, he made half the den search for her, it was funny and sweet at the same time.

"Alright dad, Il take that trip. It might be nice just to get out of the sand kingdom and see the rest of Pyrrhia, Thanks a lot dad." said sunny while pecking him on the cheek and exiting they're house.

Soon sunny arrived at the tunnel that lead to the mud kingdom, and she entered it. Once she was on the other side she saw a vast and beautiful landscape.

Although for sunny, this gorgeous place would soon become a land covered in dragon blood.
