Chapter 12: Stalker of the Tide

As the Dragonets continued flying over the Sky kingdom, it started to rain over them and thunder was soon heard."We can't fly in this, let's make camp for the night." said Tsunami diving to the ground.Everyone else followed her and they soon found a nice clearing covered with trees, perfect to get out of the rain.

They then started a little fire to keep themselves warm. Tsunami didn't mind the cold, it reminded her of the ocean back home. But what really reminded her of home was when she saw Sunny and Starflight cuddling next to each other to stay warm, it reminded her of herself and Riptide.

"Riptide." she said softly to herself while looking down."Riptide, who's that?" said Glory hearing Tsunami."Oh, just a friend from back home.""A really special friend." Said and thought Tsunami. 

But then all of a sudden they heard a loud noise from the tree tops."What was that?" Said Starflight looking upwards."Probably just a bird or something, I wonder if it's edible?" said Clay being hungry.

But then out of nowhere, a trident came out of fin air and struck the camp fire, putting it out. The Dragonets then jumped on their claws in shock of what just happened, then the trident returned back into the tree tops via a wire.

"Ok, what was that about?!" shouted Glory changing into the color red."That was a seawing trident, it must be an assassin or soldier trying to take me back home, but moons that isn't happening!" Yelled Tsunami preparing to fight.

But then the trident came back and almost hit tsunami but she tail smacked it out of the way and into a tree, but it retracted again back into the darkness."Take out the wire, it will stop the retraction." said Sunny.

When the trident came back in for another strike. Glory shot her venom at it melting the wire and the trident then fell to the ground. Tsunami picked it up but then noticed a carving on it, it was one of a tidal wave, she knew where this weapon came from.

Clay,Sunny and Starflight then blasted the tree tops until a sky-blue seawing fell from it. Immediately four of the dragonets surround him, showing they're teeth but were stopped by Tsunami when she said."Wait stop!"

Tsunami then walked up to the seawing and said."Riptide?""Ha, Hey Tsunami,long time no see." he said while being in Pain. Tsunami the grabbed Riptide and helped him up, making sure he stays clear of the others.

"Ok, you better explain to us who this is or else Im melting his face off!" said Glory."Ok ok, everyone this is Riptide, my bodyguard back home in the sea kingdom, and my boyfriend." said Tsunami.

"WHAT!?" everyone else yelled. They were all stunned by what they just heard, they had no idea Tsunami was in a relationship."Wait, but I thought you were engaged to-" Clay was stopped by Tsunami.

"WE..DO..NOT...TALK...ABOUT...WHIRLPOOL, UNDERSTAND!?" Shouted Tsunami. Everyone nodded in agreement with her cause they were all terrified."Now, why the moons are you even following us Squid Brain?" asked Tsunami."Ya...Can I talk to you about that in private?" asked Riptide.

Tsunami agreed and then followed her boyfriend to a cliff area. But she knew that the others were watching her."So, what do you want to say?" said Tsunami.

"Look, I was sent here by your parents because as soon as you left, they found out you were gone because Whirlpool snitched on you. Your mother, who was obviously furious about all this ordered me to track you down and bring you back home, and then she said you would have to prepare for your.....wedding to Whirlpool, BLEH!" said Riptide.

Tsunami couldn't believe what she just heard, it made her so sick she puked over the cliff hitting a flock of cows."UGH! I can't believe Mother is still marrying me off to that, that thing!" cried out Tsunami."I know, I tried explaining to her that he was terrible, especially with the age difference but she said if I disobeyed her, she would execute my parents." said Riptide.

Typical, her mother would stop at nothing to make Tsunami's life "Perfect.""Look, I am currently a fugitive of the Skywing's so until the heat dies down, Im heading to the scorpion den, can you cover for me back home?" said Tsunami.

"Of course, Id do anything for you nami." said Riptide. And like that they both kissed each other, but were interrupted by Sunny's squealing.

But then they heard roaring from the distance, and they saw over the cliff was a squadron of seawing troopers."Moons no, I think that's the squadron I snuck into while escaping, They can't take me back." said Tsunami.The other dragonets started to freak out as well, when Tsunami then got herself an idea."Gang huddle up, I have a way to get rid of them."

The squadron spotted the hill below them and saw that Princess Tsunami was being attacked by different types of dragons and her body guard was trying to rescue her."Quick troops, DIVE DIVE DIVE!" yelled the commander.

"Get you claws off me!" yelled Tsunami trying to escape them."Relax, don't struggle to much it will only make it more painful." said Clay."Release my Princess at once fiends!" Shouted Riptide pouncing them. The rest of the squad then appeared behind them and grabbed they're spears out.

"They took the bait, now what?" asked Glory."Fire breathers go!" said Tsunami. Clay, Starflight and Sunny then blasted a wall of fire and made their escape, knocking Riptide to the ground."Dang it, head around the other side and catch up to them." said Riptide before passing out from the heat.

The Squad then flew in the other direction, unknowing that was the wrong way."Ha, we fooled them. Cmon let's keep going the den is only a day away." said Sunny. The Dragonets then flew off towards the den, but Tsunami looked back to see if Riptide was following them, sadly he was not so she continued flying with the others, hopefully to a safer place

                                                               MEANWHILE

Back at the cliff side, Riptide finally awoke from his fake pass out. He then walked over to the campsite and retrieved his trident."Ha, she always knew Id use a grappling hook wire." he thought to himself observing the damage to his weapon.

But then another group of dragons flew into the camp, but they were a mix of a skywing,mudwing,seawing and icewing.

"Took you all long enough to find me." said Riptide."Well its hard not to miss a wildfire that big." said the mudwing."Easy Mudslide, we don't want any trouble." said Peak.

"So, Your girlfriend is safe?" asked Snowstorm."Ya, but she's with 4 other dragonets I don't really trust, I want a squad following them as soon as possible just in case." ordered Riptide.

"At once, Commander."
