"Alright! First things first, we need to buy phones."
"Phones?" Seeing Archie's confused face, Cale remembers that these three have never seen a phone before.
"A phone is essentially the same as a communication device in that it allows for users to communicate long distances through video, audio, or messages." Thankfully, Rok Soo was able to give a quick explanation to the others.
Once they reached the store, the boys quickly purchased a phone each and began looking for a place to stay.
It'd be strange for them to suddenly show up wanting to stay at a hotel but have no adults there, so they had to be discreet and do things online. It was troublesome, but at least then they'd be able to find a place that wouldn't question it and quickly get it over with.
Luckily that bastard God of death left them both cash and a credit card, so it shouldn't really be much of a problem.
Having found a good place online to stay for the next month while buying supplies, they traveled for a couple of blocks before finding themselves a few buildings away from the hotel. Ducking into an empty alleyway a building over, Cale quickly took the lead for carrying out this next part.
"Alright Bud, since you have the deepest voice out of all of us, you'll have to talk to the receptionist when they ask for our reservation."
Quickly jotting something down on a piece of scrap paper he was carrying, Cale handed a rough script over to the blue haired boy.
"Rok Soo will stay with you in case they ask anything unexpected. Once I hand over the phone, cover your cell phone with the handkerchief and raise your voice. You'll be pretending to be a father that had to quickly leave for an important meeting, so just make sure to play the part then come inside right after."
"Okay." Flashing them a bright smile, Cale quickly led the other two to the hotel. Taking a quick look around, the three headed for a waiting receptionist that was looking at them. Making their way over, they immediately ran into a problem... or at least Cale did.
'Damn it, why do I have to be so short?'
Even though the desk wasn't all that tall by an adult's standards, Cale was barely able to see over the edge of it even when standing on his tiptoes.
'So cute!!!'
It was adorable for everyone really.
From the receptionist's point of view, all she could see was the adorable redhead holding onto the edge of the desk, trying his hardest to lift himself high enough to make eye contact with her, only to quickly let go a few seconds later.
But for Archie and Barrow though, they were desperately trying to keep from either laughing or cooing at the little commander. Watching his little feet leave the ground each time he pulled himself high enough to see over the desk, they silently began to wonder whether they should try recording him (A/N: They did XD)
After almost five minutes of watching their cute dongsaeng, Archie eventually ended up lifting the poor boy and carrying him so he could talk.
And if anyone asked, Cale definitely didn't look red from embarrassment. Yup, definitely wasn't blushing.
Anyway~! Once he was able to see the receptionist, Cale put on the most innocent face he could manage and began to speak in a cutesy breezy voice that he thought would be most fitting of a five year old.
"Excuse me noona, we need help finding our room please!" (A/N: I don't want to have to type it out so as an example, this would be heard as "excuth me noona, we need help fineing owr room pleez!)
Meanwhile, Archie was internally dying from the cuteness being displayed. Sure it was terrifying just how easily he was able to take on the role of a pure child, but it's Cale we're talking about. How could they not love him?
"O-Of course sweetie! If you don't mind, may I know where your parents are?" This time Archie chimed in.
"Dad dropped us off just now, he said he needed to go to his important meeting but that it wasn't going to end until later. He said he didn't want us to have to wait and that he got us a room to stay here for the next month since he was going to be working here for a while. We can call him if you want!"
Although the girl let out a slight frown at hearing that their father had left them alone like this, she quickly pushed that thought away. 'It'd be best to show them their room before anything happens to them.'
"Then, please call him. I just need to confirm it with him so we can provide a room for you." Giving a quick nod, Barrow immediately took out the new cell phone he learned to use to call their 'dad' before handing it over to Cale, earning a chuckle from the receptionist at the two redheads' cute behavior.
A few rings later and the other line picked up.
"Hello dad! We're in the hotel now but we need help! We need you to talk to this noona so we can get our rooms, please?" After a bit of waiting as some unheard conversation was going on on the other end, Cale eventually gave a nod before holding the cell phone to the receptionist.
"Here, noona, dad wants to talk to noona!" Giving a smile to the boy, the receptionist took the redhead's cell phone before holding it up to her ear.
"Hello sir, we from ****** hotel would like to confirm with you about the booking of the room you ordered." After a while, a deep voice was heard on the other end.
"Ah hello, sorry it seems my son may have caused you a bit of trouble." Smiling, the receptionist gave a bright smile.
"Not at all sir, your children have been very helpful!" Laughter was quickly heard on the other end.
"I'm glad to hear that. I would have chosen to stay with the boys before leaving but was already running late as it was, so I had to leave my children to find the room alone."
"Ah- It's fine sir, I just need to confirm the reservation with you."
"I understand."
Even though it took a bit longer than they anticipated, they were quickly able to get things in order before finally the receptionist handed back the phone to Cale.
"Thank you for the help dad-" Cale suddenly paused. Listening to the other end, Cale gave a quick glance to the receptionist after hearing something on the phone. With slightly flushed cheeks, Cale responded with "love you too dad!" before quickly hanging up.
"So then is everything finished now noona?"
"Yes, everything is done now. Here's your key, and your room is on the 15th floor." Holding a set of key cards out, Cale happily accepted them from the receptionist before saying his thanks. Leading the two to the pair standing next to the lobby's sofa, they met up with the other two boys who had only just entered the building a mere few seconds ago before heading to their floor.
Immediately upon entering the room, both Cale and Rok Soo threw themselves onto the bed. While Rok Soo soon got up to change into some of the more comfortable clothes they bought, Cale fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
It was understandable though after all, they not only left at the crack of dawn, they also spent the entire morning walking around what felt like half the city buying clothes and other necessities before finally getting to their room at nearly six in the afternoon.
Finally feeling the fatigue setting in, the other boys were quick to get ready for bed. It was still pretty early to be going to sleep, but none of them cared.
'Kids really have it tough.' With this thought on each of their minds, the four boys were quick to join the sleeping redhead on the large king sized bed.
With an extra cool, fluffy pillow each, the shades drawn to block out what little sunlight was left, and a nice, extra large comforter to cover them all, they quickly slipped into dream land, finally being able to truly relax for the first time since coming here.
A/N: Sorry for the short chapter! I was kinda running low on ideas for what to do with this one 😅
Hope you all still enjoyed!
