A few more hours passed and before they knew it, days as well.

'There are eight days left until the start of the scenario.'

Kim Dokja didn't give up and continued to learn Way of the Wind. Of course, it wasn't possible.

Letting out a small growl in defeat, Lycaon shook his head. "Protector, it is better to give up..."

"...Why can't I learn it?"

Han Sooyoung giggled beside him and said, "Why? It is because you have no talent."

"That isn't possible."

"Why not? You aren't some novel protagonist," Han Sooyoung scoffed, careful with her words due to Cale and Yoo Mia, the literal protagonists' little sister and basically adopted child, being right beside her.

Yoo Mia, who had been watching Kim Dokja's failed attempts as she sat on the ground in front of Cale, also giggled before tilting her head up proudly as she spoke.

"If anyone were a protagonist, it'd be someone like Cale oppa or my orabeoni!"

"Me?" Cale said, looking mildly shocked at her words.

'Why would you say such a horrible thing?'

Cale, who was currently braiding Yoo Mia's hair after being asked by the little raven-haired child, unconsciously stiffened at the comment, his eyes going slightly wide before internally shaking his head as he went back to braiding.

'What a scary thing to imagine.'

Yoo Mia, who had mistaken his statement for curiosity, nodded her head eagerly.

"Yeah! You helped me and all those other people without expecting anything in return and gave us food and water when you didn't even know us. You even showed me how to fight monsters before we found out you know my orabeoni!"

'But I did get something in return?' Cale thought, recalling how many coins he was sponsored by the constellations during each occasion.

Furrowing his eyebrows at the unwarranted praises, Cale sighed. Adjusting the ribbons that had been tied into the two loose braids, he let go of her hair as he turned his attention to Kim Dokja and Lycaon's training session.

Kim Dokja's frustration was evident and understandable.

Though he knew and remembered most of the enlightenment associated with Way of the Wind, reading something and actually putting in the effort to implement it are two completely different things.

'This is why having ancient powers is better.'

-FoD: Hell yeah it is!

-SEW: We're way ******* better than those ******** skills or whatever the **** they are!

-SR: *Ehem* I suppose we are pretty great

-T: Agreed

Ignoring the cheers and shouts of agreement in his head, Cale watched as Dokja scrolled through his phone for the hundredth time again.

He knew what the problem was.

Unlike other people who earned skills through their actions, practice and other various methods, due to Kim Dokja's attribute, he could only learn the skill by using 'bookmark'.

'Of course, I'm not going to tell him that. Why would I want to make him suspicious of me and bring more trouble to myself for knowing his skills when even the dokkaebi bureau couldn't access his attribute window?' Cale thought to himself as he leaned back to take a nap.
