Before they knew it, a year passed and that same teen they had dinner with became a new roommate.
If you were to ask Cale, he'd probably say that "it just sort of happened."
What started off as a one time thing became two, then two became three, until eventually they were walking home together everyday to eat at his place. When Rok Soo and Barrow learned about what happened that day, they immediately got back at the group of brats that dared to try hurting their sweet dongsaeng.
Despite learning that the teen who saved Cale was the same Kim Namwoon that was rumored to always be getting into trouble, the boys actually began inviting him over more.
They knew just how bad rumors could be since they'd all personally experienced or seen it happen at least once in their previous lives. And, in truth, Kim Namwoon wasn't a bad kid. He was just more misunderstood than anything else.
The proof of this was that, contrary to rumors about how he was always getting into trouble because he loved getting into fights, all the fights he'd previously gotten into were either out of self defense or cases similar to what happened with Cale (some of which even they ended up getting involved in).
Even so, no matter how indifferent he was or how hard he tried to defend himself against such accusations, it got to the point where he was eventually kicked out by his parents due to them being 'tired of dealing with his shit.'
Luckily by that time the group had already grown to accept him as one of their own after (somehow) having spent so much time with him in and out of school. They turned the spare bedroom they were using for storage into a space for him to sleep and continued living together as always.
That was how they lived for the last two years before the apocalypse.

"Should we just tell him?"
"I don't know, you think he'd believe us?"
"Probably. At least it'd be easier than explaining why we have a bunch of FREAKING SWORDS AND MANA BOMBS IN THE APARTMENT!"
"Good point."
Today, the group is currently arguing about whether to tell Kim Namwoon about their past and the apocalypse.
After managing to keep the situation secret from their added roommate for the past year since he officially moved in, Bud ended up blowing their cover when he carelessly walked in asking where he should move the 'spare' mana bombs thinking he wasn't home at the time. Of course, with Namwoon being in the room, the situation became chaotic as the only word he was able to process was that there were 'bombs,' plural.
When the others heard what happened, the ones out of the house quickly rushed home from whatever they were preoccupied with and held a family meeting to decide their next course of action and gave Namwoon one of the empty spatial pocket bags to keep himself busy with while they tried to figure out what to do.
"If we do then we'll obviously have to tell him about the Eastern and Western continents since there's no way something like mana bombs can exist here!"
"True. I mean, knowing him, he'd probably believe us."
After all, he's already heard them speaking the language of both continents. Whenever that happened, Cale and Rok Soo would just tell him that since they were foreign, they'd accidently slip between that and Korean. Even so, it was obvious he was still suspicious about it.
"I say we just go for it."
"Right, he was bound to find out eventually. Might as well tell him now so that he can at least get on board with the rest of us."
