Cale let out a laugh. He couldn’t believe it- or rather, he hated to believe it was actually happening again.

Another book he read has become reality.

Worst of all, it’s one he didn’t even get to technically start either!

Omniscient Readers Viewpoint.

Contrary to how it was with ‘The Birth of a Hero,’ Cale didn’t get the chance to even touch the second volume. Although he knew most of the series’ contents and almost the entirety of the first volume from what his teammates told him and what he skimmed through, he wasn’t able to really get into it since he was planning to read the series after finishing ‘The Birth of a Hero.’

‘I really have rotten luck, don’t I?’

“...Dokkaebi?”

Caught up in his moment of self-pity, Cale fails to notice the white ball of fur that would now serve as the ‘host’ of this channel.

‘Looks like it’s time.’

“Hyung. Get the fish ready.”

“Huh?”

As they watched, the weird fluffy creature soon opened his mouth and began to speak.

[&아#@!&아#@!...]
[He–o, ca- — me?]

“Hm?”

The group looked at each other, confusion visible on all their faces.

“Uh.. is it just me or did you guys also hear it speak in Roan?”

[@%아&아@!]
[Can you hear me?]

“Yup. Definitely speaking Roan.”

They stared at the dokkaebi in confusion. It was unsettling to listen to the creature trying to converse with the people and constellations in the channel in a language they were so familiar with despite not belonging to that world.

Especially Cale. It was disturbing to think that each of his lives were slowly being connected in one way or another. It was a thought he’d rather avoid having to confront anytime soon.

“What is this?”

“Augmented reality?”

The train was once again filled with chatter as the people began coming to their senses. Thinking it best to avoid drawing the dokkaebi’s attention for now, the three teens followed Cales’ lead and remained seated since (they presumed) he knew most about the current situation.

It was at this time that the dokkaebi spoke in the correct pronunciation of Korean.

[Ah. Ah. Does this sound good? Ah, I had a hard time because the Korean patch didn’t work. Everyone, can you hear my words?]

As a familiar language was being spoken, people's expressions soon relaxed.

However, like many cliche extras, there just had to be the idiot who couldn’t read the room and would serve as cannon fodder to progress the story. And, seeing as how said idiot was the first one to step up, the four teens watched to see just what the big man in the suit would do.
