Disbelief evident in their faces as Cale and Lycaon looked at each other-one with skepticism and the other questioning how that made any sense- before looking back at Dokja like he was crazy, the two could only stare at him.
"Wow, that joke was so preposterous I had forgotten to laugh. That is the best joke I've ever heard. Is there such a joke in this world? Is it fun to joke about the world that will soon cease to exist and say that a weak child as frail as this one is the reason it won't?"
'Yes, I am weak, so don't believe his words,' Cale, who was nodding along with Lycaon's' words, thoughtfully said to himself.
Yoo Mia, hearing these harsh words being spoken about the oppa she had decided to keep now that she knew he was with that ugly ahjussi's group, began to grow angry at how mean the Lycaon was towards Cale; calling him weak when he was the one who has been taking care of her this whole scenario.
Turning to look at the teens' reaction, she was shocked to see him weakly nodding along to his words.
'Wait, is oppa really believing what this guy is saying?!'
Panicking as she realized he was genuinely believing the wolfs' words, she decided to take action.
Quickly pulling Cale to sit down beside her, she began rummaging through her supplies. Confused at her sudden actions, Cale could only follow along, hoping he didn't do something wrong to make his dads' little sister mad at him for fear of being forced to drink lemon juice later.
Contrary to his thoughts though, the little girl wasn't mad at him. Instead, giving him one of the sweets that were in the spatial storage bag he gave her, Yoo Mia began hugging him.
Wrapping her arms around his neck as she gently hugged him, he heard her softly say, "Don't listen to anything that overgrown dog has to say, oppa. I know you're strong, so don't let him make you feel sad, okay?"
'Ah, that's what this is.'
Realizing that she had misunderstood and was just worried about him, Cale softly sighed as he gently hugged her back; patting her head as he gave in and tried to calm her down.
"Don't worry, I'm not sad. So there's no need to worry, alright?"
Giving her a few more pats on the head in an attempt at coaxing her to calm down, she eventually agreed, nodding as she let him go.
Not wanting to leave him alone, Yoo Mia sat beside him as she began to eat sweets as well, enjoying her time with Cale now that she knew he wasn't affected by a dogs' barking.
However, that wasn't the case for everyone else.
Seeing the teen hugging the little girl as she told him not to be sad over the Imyuntar's words, it was like a fuse went off.
