Chapter 16 Reason for leaving.

Your little reunion was cut short as you two heard clapping. Looking to the side you saw Dottore walk towards clapping with a smile.

"Stay behind me" you said to Kunikuzushi as you pulled him behind you protective.

"How cute. I thought the Electric Archon was your mother Scaramouche-" Dottore spoke as your son cut him off.

"Shut the hell up!!" He said angry as Dottore was amused.

"That's no way to speak to a fellow Harbinger." You felt Kunikuzushi go stiff. "And one higher ranking than you as well"

"Fellow.. Harbinger.?" You said as you looked back to see your son looking away from you. "Kunikuzushi.. what is he talking about" you asked him as he stayed silent not looking at you. "Son look at me. What is he talking about?"

"What I'm talking about is that your 'son' is a Fatui Harbinger. Rank 6 code name the Balladeer." Dottore spoke as you looked at him. "Dont tell me you didnt-"

"Shut the hell up!!" Kunikuzushi yelled at him angry. "Leave us alone!"

"You better tone it down" Dottore said coldly. "Remember your place. I am your superior. Now unless you want me to beat you infront -" Dottore stopped himself as he had to dodge and attack from you.

"Don't you dare threaten him" you said protective as Dottore took a step back. "I don't give a damn if your a Harbinger if you touch him I will not hesitate to kill you" you said tone cold.

"Mother!" Kunikuzushi yelled as he ran to you quickly as you put your arm out keeping him behind you.

"How sweet. She quite the opposite from your real mother Scaramouche." Dottore spoke as he watched you. "But enough with the talking. I've come here to take what was promised to me." He said as he took a step towards you only to dodge an attack from Scaramouche. "Really? You are aware this can be considered -" he was cut off as he had to dodge again.

"I won't let you touch her." Scaramouche said livid as he kept attacking him. Dottore was dodging with ease starting to find everything now annoying.

"You really are missing the grand picture Scaramouche. If I have her I can research and turn you into a god as you wanted!" He said as he stopped seeing Scaramouche having stopped his attacks. "Isnt that what you wanted? Godhood?"

"Shut it!" Kunikuzushi said angry.

"Kunikuzushi.." you said as he looked down. "To be a god? Is that what you wanted? Was that the reason you left?" You asked him gently as he looked at you.

"That was his whole reason for joining us." Dottore said "to unleashed his sealed power which I helped him so. Now he wants to be a god." He looked at you. "You are god if I study you I could find a way to make him into one."

"..is that right.. you want to become one?" You went to your son and gently held his face up to you to see him tearing. "My son. Answer"

"I just wanted to be stronger to protect you " he said as he grabbed your hands and held them. You hugged him close comforting him as he hugged you back close.

"My son.." you said as you felt him hide himself in your embrace. You looked at the other Fatui man. If it was your son's biggest wish to be a god. Then, as his mother you wanted him to succeed so you took a breath then spoke. "If it will help my son.. become the god he wants to be.. alright. Ill go with you." You felt Kunikuzushi jolt back looking at you with panic.

"No! Don't!" He pleaded. He knew Dottore well he didn't want you near him. "I don't want you to be involved with him!" He said hugging you close. "I don't want to be a god if it means you can be hurt!"
