Chapter 48 New emotion

After arriving at Sumeru with Aether you meet the Dendro Archon. She was quite polite and seemed friendly if anything also curious of your situation. You even met other people such as Alhaitham, Tighnari and Cyno. All which were giving you company while Aether and Paimon left.

Your servant however. Was anything but amused and much less due to his annoying babysitter.

"You know you ought to smile more. People will get the wrong impression of Y/N if you keep acting like your forced to be here" Childe told him.

"I knew you could be stupid. But even I didn't believe you to be that idiotic. I am being forced here." Dottore said annoyed as he watched from a distance how you mingled with the new crowd.

"Well for someone whose always saying they don't want to be here.. you sure do keep an eye on her at all times" Childe pointed out.

"Even though I am bond due this... Bracelet.." Dottore said glancing at the item in question. "That doesn't mean I can stop observing. I'll break free one way or another.. If I can't go experiment then I will observe her every move. Perhaps there's a clue on how to-" Dottore's vision suddenly went dark as Childe quickly wrapped a blindfold over his mask. "What are you doing!?"

"And you said I was stupid. Look at you telling me you plans so openly." Childe said happy as he tightened the knot. "You aren't going to do anything to y/n" he said happy.

Hearing the little outburst you and the others looked at the duo. Nahida spoke first.

"It seems those two are getting along" She said happy.

"More like forced to co-exist." Alhaitham added.

"....are we certain to allow such criminals roam freely like this.." Cyno said as his arms were crossed.

"Rest assured" you told them "they will not cause any harm to anyone. Dottore is firmly under my control. As for Childe.. it seems he truly has left his... violent tendencies... Behind.. well.. mostly. He is trying to be more civil." You gave them a small smile. "Of course habits can't be broken so quickly.. please have some patience with them" you said bowing your head in a small apologetic gesture. You could tell the uneasiness vibe of the group.

Yet you couldn't blame them. Two harbingers of the Fatui were right there. Not the mention one of them being responsible for such a crime on their lands, on their vurnable people. On their sick. You knew it wasn't going to be a pleasant ride, on one hand you want peace among them. You grew tired of war and all its effects, all you wanted was to be healed so you can enjoy your days with your adorable sons and little daughter, to watch them grow to be powerful Archons and rulers. While the future is unclear with Paimon you figured it was no rush. Afterall she is a small child.

Nahida sensing your discomfort quickly stepped forward in attempt to soothe you.

"Its ok. As long they can behave now then we can continue in finding a way to heal you." Nahida said with a smile.

"Thank you. I'm really sorry about this.. I don't wish to create a hostile environment" you told her "I'm aware one of them has a very bad history on your land, and perhaps it would of been better if I left under watch somewhere else. Its just I was unsure to leave him.." you bowed your head a bit again in apology. "Again.. I'm sorry about this"

"No no it's ok" Nahida quickly tried to reassure you again.
