Chapter 45 Onwards to Sumeru

"Oh nephew of mine.. please cheer up.. you'll see her soon" Daktari said to Kunimitsu. They were on a boat heading back to Inazuma.

".... I want to be with mother.." Kunimitsu muttered to himself glaring at the dock they just left from. "This is bullcrap.."

Daktari sighed defeated knowing your son would be in a bad mood. Thankfully it seemed you knew as well and gave your brother something to help him.

It was decided among the trio that they would split to help you. Daktari would accompany Kunimitsu. Aleski would stay with Khoi. Mort would keep an eye on Zhongli.

"Well nephew. Sister told me if you were good to give you something that she gave me" Daktari said with a closed eye smile. "But only if your good-" he felt something grab his shirt. He opened his eyes and looked down to see Kunimitsu giving him 'cute eyes' looking as if he was the most well behaved child.

Daktari felt he was hit with lighting at the sight. His heart couldn't take how cute he looked. 'I can see why sister says he's so cute! He's so adorable! You see this face and you would of never thought he was in the Fatui!!'

"Uncle Daktari." Kunimitsu said is gentle voice to match his appearance. "I be a good nephew. Can I have mother's gift??" He asked him.

"Of course!" Daktari said wrapping his arms around him squeezing close. "Such a cute nephew you are!!" He said awed and brought out a small doll of fabric and handed it to him. Quickly grabbing it Kunimitsu went to the other side of the deck and looked it. The doll looked just like you and even wore the clothes you wore.

"..mother gave me a mini mother.." Kunimitsu said low to myself as he felt himself shake a bit. His face gave a little smile and hugged it close to him. He detected your scent from it. It made it feel it you were still with him. 'Mom must've known I would miss her.. so she gave me a doll of her so I could have her with me.' he thought happy, and this he proceeded to put the small doll onto his person. Snugly fitting it into place on his shoulder.

Daktari watched the whole thing from his spot. He watched how he hugged it and put on his shoulder. If cuteness was a weapon he would of been long eliminated. It was clear to him that your son really did love you and he has no problem in expressing it.

"Don't worry my little sister.. I'll keep your son safe." He told himself as he smiled.

"She will be back soon enough Khoi" Aleski said in attempt to calm him down. Khoi was currently sitting on his new throne hugging his knees. He was throwing a tantrum but unlike Kunimitsu his tantrum was silence.

"Come on don't be like that you know well as a Archon you can't leave your grounds unattended especially since you just-"

"I don't want to be an Archon is it means I'm away from mother" Khoi muttered to himself bitterly. "Mother supposed to stay with me. Not leave to Sumeru."

"Aish.. this kid.." Aleski sigh shaking his head. "You want to stay right? Well she went to Sumeru to see what she can do to be healed. If she healed she can stay much more longer. Think of it as typical 'sacrifice for a greater good' situation. Yes you have to leave her side but it's to benefit you both in the long run." He continued in hopes Khoi would be more understanding.

".... I suppose your right.. mother is injured. She needs to be healed.." Khoi said as he proceeded to sit normally. "But.. if that Dendro Archon doesn't heal mother.." Khoi narrowed his eyes as Aleski saw the gaint whooper flower show itself from outside peeking into the palace. Its gaint eye peering in with a malicious look. "Kunimitsu and I agreed. If Sumeru's Archon fails to heal mother we will both attack it."
