Chapter 30 Ambushed

You were following Aether out onto the outskirts of the city. You walked alongside them as you glanced at the ocean view at your side.

"I still find the view of the ocean so pretty after all these years." You said stopping in your tracks causing the other two to do so as well.

"It sound like you never had a chance to see it before." Paimon said.

"That's right. My land was all ground with mountain terrain all around us." You started as you kept walking "I think I only seen it once before these recent days." You said.

"Only once? Why?" Aether asked.

"Because it's dangerous. The evil god and it's spouse dwell in it." You said walking "that's what I was told. I been told many gods roam everywhere and would kill me if given any chance."

"Sounds like whomever told you that seemed to care for you a lot" Paimon said. "Who was it?"

"It was." You paused. "It was.." you started to think as a memory hazy appeared.

"Don't get near the ocean little one. There is a evil god there at the moment trying to attack." A gentle voice said as it lead you by the hand.

"But I want to see the ocean! I hear it's so pretty!" You said in a small voice said.

"Haha oh this little one is far too cute" you heard the personal leading you said as it stopped and picked you up. "Just a peek ok?" The burry figure told you as you felt being carried as the said person ran quickly.

You closed your eyes and hid your face into it's shoulder shielding you from the wind. A faint scent of Juniper coming from said person. You felt movement stop.

"Little one. We're here. Look." You looked up and ahead and saw it. The ocean. The waves crashing against the sand as the wind blew. The way the sun reflected off the water giving it a shiny glow.

"It's so pretty" you said amazed.

"It is isn't it. Now that you seen it. Let's head back. They will be waiting for us."

You stood in thought remembering til you heard Aether yell your name. You looked at him startled to see him and Paimon worried. "Yes?" You said.

"Y/n are you ok?? You spaced out for a bit." Aether said worried. "Are you not feeling well?"

"Yeah.." you said putting a hand on your head "I just can't seem to remember who told me that.. but I can recall the voice."

"Don't push yourself to much. You gave us a scare just now" Paimon said as Aether nodded agreeing.

"Sorry about that" you said. "I wish I was able to remember more of my past. It's seems I only really remember about my land and people but not what of before."

"Dont worry! Paimon sure you will remember everything soon!" The child cheered happy. "Plus now we did find some of your people's descendents too. So surely things will be going better now" she gave you a smile "Not mention were here to help support you all the way! Right Aether?"

"Right" he agreed.

"Your right" you gave them a smile. "Thank you Paimon. Aether. It's good to hear you'll have my back."

"Anytime" Aether said giving you a gentle smile.

"Anytime.." a new voice was heard as you three looked up a cliff to see the source.
