I hug Venom close as Eddie drives his truck, Venom having squished himself into a stuffed animal form so I could hold him. I chew on beef jerky to keep myself from biting at my lips. They were already injured from how much I had been biting on them out of anxiety. Eddie grips the steering wheel and I can tell he's as worried and anxious as I am. I hug Venom in one hand and reach out my other to Eddie's. I rest it on his shoulder, feeling him relax under my touch. I rub my hand down his arm and he takes it off the steering wheel so he can hold my hand. We squeeze each others hands, keeping ourselves grounded with one another.

"Can I still marry you?" I ask, cutting through the heavy air.

"You still want to?" Eddie asks with a chuckle, glancing over at me.

"Well, you already agreed to it," I tell him with a smile. "You still want to be stuck with me forever."

"I do!" Venom chirps with delight.

"I do as well," Eddie says with a grin. "You do realize you're gonna be stuck with us for the rest of your life too don't you?"

"I'm looking forward to it," I say with a happy giggle. "No take backs now."

Everyone relaxes and the tension in the truck dissipates. We were all nervous about this. I was going to have to get snatched by Doctor Mengele again so we can get him arrested. Then Lisa is helping us press charges. I found out she talked to Thema as well and Thema was going to help where she could. I had several people by my side and everyone was positive we could put Doctor Mengele away for a very long time. I was scared but I knew I had to do this. Plus I already made a police report and Eddie had helped me get a rape kit. Venom was able to keep the semen in my body when he healed me so they could take the DNA.

I gently stroke my thumb on Eddie's hand as I watch the scenery pass by, gently petting Venom who was purring away on my lap. Maybe I could convince Eddie that we should get a cat. Venom was on board when I talked to him but we had too much going on right now to be able to bring it up to Eddie. I told Venom he better not eat the cat or else I would stop cooking for him. He agreed because he loved my cooking and he didn't want to make me sad either by eating a cat I picked out.

"Okay, Lisa is going to send Doctor Mengele to the store for some specific items. You're going to be there 'shopping' as well. Reveal what hotel you're at to Thema who will be there to strike up a conversation. Venom will be with you the entire time. I'm sure he'll come kidnap you and we'll do the rest. Okay?" Eddie lays out everything for me.

"Okay," I tell him as I nod in agreement. "You sure it's okay for Venom to stay with me?"

"We don't want to risk him doing anything. I'll eat him if he tries," Venom growls.

"I don't want him dead. I want him to rot in prison," I tell Venom with a gentle smile. "I think that'll be a good enough punishment."

"Fiiiine," Venom huffs softly. "I'm still going to help you fight him off if he tries anything."

"Thank you," I smile, giving Venom's head a scratch.

"Alright, I'll be in a hotel down the road. You going to be okay?" Eddie asks, parking the truck.

"Yes," I tell him, taking a deep breath.

Eddie grabs my hand and leans over to give me a kiss, a soft smile coming to my lips as I return it. I then pull away and open up the door, stepping out into the warm April air.

"Take care of her, V," Eddie calls, Venom grinning and nodding his head before he returns inside of me.

I grab my suitcase and watch Eddie leave. I can feel Venom inside of me as he helps my brain release endorphins. It helps me calm down and I enter the hotel, checking into my room and unpacking my suitcase so it looked like I was staying there. I mess with the different toiletries as well and set out some of the fast food bags me and Eddie had gotten on the drive. Venom pops out and jumps into bed, pulling me with him.
