Until we reached Asuka's dorm, I followed her silently. When we approached the entrance to her room, she halted abruptly, turning to send a sharp gaze my way.

"So...what do you want to ask?" I spoke, my eyes darting nervously as I tried to hold her gaze. There was a faint blush on her pale cheeks.

"I just wanna ask...something that might change our relationship..." she murmured, stepping closer. I felt my back press against her dorm door, her presence closing in and leaving me trapped. Despite being slightly shorter than me, her aura felt overpowering.

"Do you..."

Before Asuka goes to Martina's room...

"How do I look?" the insect lady asked, spinning around in a gray dress. Her friends cheered her on as she twirled. I sat quietly on the chair, speaking to Luis in my mind, my fingers grazing the edges of the book resting on the table beside me. The title read *The Kiss of Soulmate*.

"Having fun?"

"Yeah, just a little."

"Hm? You sound worried."

"Heh, you noticed?" I responded mentally, glancing back at the girls who were busy applying their makeup. Shadows flickered behind me as I ran my palm across the book's smooth cover.

"Say...do you believe in soulmates?" I asked quietly, half to myself, half to him.

"Well, it’s a fairytale, but I wouldn’t say it’s completely fake..." Luis replied, his voice echoing with a dark hum. His presence curled around me, almost like a whispering shadow.

"Or...maybe we are soulmates?" His tone deepened, laced with something sinister. I could almost feel his arm snaking around me, the darkness coiling tighter. Soulmates...?

"Maybe...if I want to," I said, gripping the book tighter. Our conversation was interrupted by the girls.

"Hey! What’s your name, by the way?" the bug girl asked, tilting her head. I realized I hadn’t even introduced myself. Casually, I slid my fingers over the book's title to hide it.

"I’m Asuka Kimari, daughter of Lord Kimari," I stated confidently, giving them a polite yet distant smile. The bug girl blinked for a moment before nodding.

"My name is Inamo Hakari! Daughter of the Darkness Forest Killer!" she beamed proudly. Darkness Forest Killer...a notorious serial killer who preyed on anyone wandering near the forest. No wonder she’s so...unhinged.

"I’m Jany Cataly! Daughter of John Cataly!" Another girl introduced herself, stepping forward. She had dark skin and a curvy figure. I had to admit, she was beautiful—not that I’d admit that out loud. John Cataly...the third most wanted criminal in New York. She must know her father’s dirty secrets.

"I’m Mason Harper. That’s all you need to know," she said coldly. She didn’t bother revealing her background—not that I cared. I stood up, brushing off my dress.

"I’m heading out. See you all in class," I said with a forced smile. They nodded, and I slipped out, my footsteps echoing through the hallway. I was almost free, but I had the misfortune of running into him—the teacher who haunts my nightmares.

"Hm? Oh? Changed your look, Trash?" he sneered, eyeing me with that same twisted grin he wore when he cut my hair. He circled me, his gaze crawling over my figure like a vulture.

"Wow\~ You’re pretty hot right now," he cooed, licking his lips. Disgust rose in my throat. I felt Luis growl in the back of my mind.

"This guy..." Luis muttered darkly. I ignored him and stepped back as the teacher crept closer. My body tensed. Memories clawed at me, and I felt my breath hitch. He lunged forward, gripping my wrist before I could move.
