The corridor stretched endlessly before me, its walls dark and unwelcoming. Master Luis trailed behind, his grin widening with every step I took.

"Finally, you chose me!" His voice brimmed with joy, as if I had just fulfilled some long-awaited prophecy. I ignored his enthusiasm, pausing to lean against the cold stone wall. The place reeked of dampness and dust, a reminder of how isolated this section was.

"So...can I get the magic now, Master Luis?" I asked, my voice flat as I stared down the endless hallway. His gasp of delight was almost theatrical.

"You called me 'Master Luis,' too!" he exclaimed, clapping his hands like a delighted child. I cringed inwardly. That was embarrassing. "Just tell me already before I change my mind," I said, my patience waning.

Luis chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Hehe, so actually...meet me in the Meeting Room."

I tilted my head. "The Meeting Room? Why would I need to go there? Can I even get in since I'm marked as Anomalous Magic?"

"You'll see," he hummed, his footsteps echoing behind me. I rolled my eyes. "If something happens to me, I'll kill you," I muttered, pushing forward. The walls seemed to close in as I walked, memories of past tests and nightmares clawing at the back of my mind. I hated this place. Especially since it was run by that man.

The massive entrance to the Meeting Room loomed ahead, guarded by two towering figures. Of course, just as I expected.

"What now, Master Luis?" I whispered under my breath, waiting for his answer. Silence. "Ugh, you ditched me at a time like this? I'll drown you next time, I swear," I growled.

The guards' eyes locked onto me as I approached. "What's your business here?" they asked in unison, their voices cold and sharp. I wrinkled my nose. "I need to meet with Master Luis," I replied icily.

They exchanged glances before bursting into laughter. My fists clenched at my sides. "You're dead meat, Luis," I whispered through gritted teeth. Just as I was about to turn away, a voice called out from inside.

"Let her in." The guards immediately straightened, stepping aside without another word. I took a deep breath and pushed through the doors. This is where my nightmare began.

"Glad you came, Asuka." That voice, dripping with condescension, slithered through the air. I turned to see him, the principal, standing by the window, his hands clasped behind his back.

"What are you doing here, asshole?" I spat. He turned, a mocking smile curling at the edges of his mouth. "Why not? It's my domain, after all," he replied, his eyes glimmering with twisted amusement.

Rage bubbled up inside me, overflowing before I could control it. My hands flared with water magic. "<HYDRO GLOVE!>" I shouted, my fist encased in swirling torrents. I lunged, my hand aiming for his face, but my attack stopped short-caught by his bare hand.

"Dark Magic," he murmured, his eyes piercing through mine. My breath hitched, and I staggered back. How did he know what I came for?

He straightened his tie, his gaze never leaving mine. "Are you ready to accept Dark Magic?" His voice was smooth, confident, and laced with something sinister. I swallowed hard. "Master Luis?!"

The room grew silent, the weight of his words sinking into my bones. Just what had I gotten myself into?

...

I squirmed around in the watery ropes that wrapped tightly around me. Tch! How did I let my guard down? This is getting so bothersome. Ugh!

"HELP! SOMEONE! CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" I shouted, hoping someone would respond. But there was nothing-no response to my frantic screams. I scowled, looking down. Ha... What did she mean back then? 'Getting in her way'? What does that even mean? Did she have a plan?
