Hannah and I left Daniel's house and headed to the hospital. Once we arrived, we hurried into the building and found Nadia in her bed holding Mina. Peter was laying in the chair passed out and slightly snoring. When Nadia saw us, she smiled.
"Hey." She said quietly. "Mina and Peter are sleeping."
"Alright." Hannah said and nodded as we walked closer. "How are you?"
"Tired, but pretty good." She said taking a glance at Mina. "I'm on some heavy medication though."
"Did the doctors tell you when you can go home?" I asked.
Nadia sighed. "They said in another few days."
I groaned inwardly.
"The Guard is in town now." Hannah said.
"I heard. Doctor Jamison told me." Nadia said. "What are they like?"
"Well, they are intimidating, scary looking, but most of them are good looking." Hannah added with a smirk.
Nadia rolled her eyes. "You have a mate Hannah."
"I know. But that doesn't mean I can't think someone is attractive." She shot back.
"Whatever." Nadia laughed lightly. "What about you Aiyana? What did you think about them?"
"I've only met their Elder and he seems pretty intense. They appear very well mannered, formal and a little secretive." I said thinking. "They seem very smart and strong, but they don't really interest me."
"Figures." Hannah sighed.
There was a knock on the door and we turned to see who it was.
"Come in." Nadia said.
The door opened and Daniel walked in with a smile until he saw me and frowned.
"Aiyana."
"Daniel." I said and watched as an irritated look flashed across his face.
"Can I speak with you outside Aiyana?" He asked looking at me.
"I guess." I said and glanced at Nadia who nodded.
We left the room and he shut the door.
"When are you leaving?" He asked.
"I would like to leave tomorrow, but I told Nadia that I would stay until she was released from the hospital."
He sighed. "Look, the Alpha of the Guard expect everyone to be at training, besides Nadia and the older members of the pack. I haven't mentioned you to him yet, so only the Elder knows your situation. I would really appreciate it if you would come to the training session while you are staying in town."
I laughed. "Are you kidding me? I told you I wasn't going to and I meant it. I want nothing to do with them except Elder Knight. I can take care of myself. Besides you don't like me being here anyways and being around them isn't wise. You don't trust me enough to tell me that there have been rogue attacks and yet you want me to train with them? No Daniel. I will stay at Nadia's and when she get's home I will be leaving."
"For once can you just not think for yourself and do as I ask?" He shouted.
"Why should I?" I snap. "Every time I have ever talked to you, you show your distain for me no matter who we're around. I've never done anything to you. Ever. I have been compliant with staying away from the town and with your requests. Not to mention, the reason I stay up on the mountain!"
"You stay up there because you don't like being around people Aiyana, so don't pull that self-righteous crap with me!"
The door swung open and Peter came out with Hannah.
