The next two days are the same. It's still early in the morning when I wake up. I can't help but wake up before the sun rises, I've always been like that. I slide out of bed and put on some flexible clothes which is just a t-shirt and shorts. I grab an old pair of sneakers from the back of the closet and tie them on. I leave the cabin and run on the old slightly overgrown paths on Nadia's property. After a few loops around the property, I take the now sweaty clothes off and shift. I run everywhere on the property and stop to rest at the small creek flowing behind the cabin. I always had mixed feelings about my wolf form. On one hand it was beautiful, on the other, it's what made me different. My wolf was grey, but what made it stand out was that is was about the size of an alpha. All alpha's whether male or female are bigger than the regular pack members so it didn't make since for mine to be so big. Another thing was that mine was literally me. Most wolves are separate from the person, Nadia describes it as having a personality to a conscience. I don't have that. It's just me.

I stand and stretch my legs, hearing a few pops. I walked back to my now dry clothes and shift back. Once the clothes are on, I walk back to the cabin and go inside. I take a quick shower and slid into some fresh clothing. I make my way to the kitchen when the house phone rings. I pick it up and see Hannah's name flash on the screen.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Daniel told me to call and tell you that the Guard are here and he's calling a pack meeting tonight. It's your decision to come but he thinks one of the older guard member's can help you with your...situation."

I thought for a moment.

"What time is the meeting?" I ask.

"It's at six...are you going to come?" She asked.

I closed my eyes and thought hard for a moment.

"Aiyana, you there?" Her voice rang in my ear.

"Yes." I said sighing. "I'll go, but I need you to pick me up."

I heard her grumble and I rolled my eyes. "Alright...I'll pick you up at 5:30."

"Okay." I said.

"See you then." She said and I hung up.

I set the phone down on it's base and ran a hand through my still wet hair. Was going to the meeting worth it?

Later that day, a few hours before Hannah would be picking me up, Nadia called.

"Hey Aiyana." She said in a horse voice.

"Hey Nadia. How are you feeling?" I ask and look out the window.

"Tired." She chuckled lightly. "So tired."

"Did you sleep well last night?"

"Yes and no...I don't know." She said sighing. "My body still hurts and my eyelids feel heavy, but I don't think I woke up at all last night."

"How's Peter?"

"He's asleep on the chair." She said.

"And Mina?"

"She's in the nursery." She said. "How was everything with Daniel yesterday? Hannah told me you guys fought a little."

I snorted. "That was hardly fighting. We just disagreed with one another as per the usual."

"Did she tell you about the pack meeting tonight?"

"Yes..."I said quietly.

"Are you going to go?" She asked sounding a little hopeful.
