I stare at Cade and I can feel myself breaking into pieces.

"You said you'd never leave me." I cried quietly.

He looks peacefully asleep. All the love I had felt from him begins to morph into something different. Something deadlier. It boils and burns, turning into anger. Huxley is pacing back and forth. I look to the others but they're frozen.

"Oh they won't be intervening this time." Huxley growls.

I glare at him.

"That's it Anna...get angry...show me what you're made of!" He yells.

The sky begins to darken and flashes of lightening strike down from the clouds. He laughs which only makes me angrier. The earth begins to shake.

"There it is!" Huxley smiles.

I gently lay Cade's head on the ground and I stand up.

"Do you think this is a game?!" I yell and charge at him.

He lets me push him.

"You know what it feels like to lose a mate-" I push him again. "Why would you ever do that to someone?!"

He grabs my arms and yanks me closer. "Because I know how freeing it is." He whispers harshly.

I push him and fall out of his grasp. "You're mad!"

He laughs. "Mates are amazing when you have them, but they are your weakness Anna!" He growled. "When they're taken from you, you don't have to worry anymore! It doesn't matter who you kill, because you have no weakness that they can exploit."

I screamed at him and a shockwave threw him back. He rolled and then caught himself. He jumped up grinning from ear to ear.

"You have more power than anyone else I've encountered...anyone but me of course." He smirks and waves his hand.

A force echoes from his hand and I'm shoved back about twenty feet. I fell onto my back and rolled over onto my stomach. I pushed myself and took off in a sprint towards him. He laughed and shoved his hand towards the ground. The earth rumbled in response and huge chunks flew up into the air in front of me. I stumbled and fell. The earth chunks came crashing down and I held up my arms. They were obliterated and fell around me.

"You could do anything in the world Anna!" He yelled over the sound of the wind. "You and I could rule the world together! Our powers...united...we would be unstoppable!"

"You're right...I can do anything..." I say pushing myself off the ground. "I'm going to kill you." I growl and feel my back begin to ache.

I concentrate and force my wings out. I can feel them as they tear through the back of my shirt.

"Finally..." He smirks. "The real game begins."

I run toward him and skip off the ground. I soar through the air at him. He waves his arms just as I'm about to grab him and I'm thrown back again. This time, I don't touch the ground. I recover in the air and face him. My anger radiates from my body. I can feel the electricity in the air and its my turn to smile. I growl in frustration and pull down the lightening from the sky. Huxley yells as it begins to strike all around him. Finally he's hit and falls to the ground. But he doesn't stay down for long. He wipes the blood away from his mouth and grins.

"Impressive." He says as the lightening continues.

Thunder rumbles loudly and I set my feet on the ground.

"My turn." He smiles and then whistles.

All the rogues that had disappeared now come running out of the forests like ants. They're all heading towards me. This time I call down the lightening into my own hands and when the light has subsided from the bright white, I'm holding onto a bolt. Huxley scowls as the rogues begin to clash into me. I whirl around, striking them all with the bright electricity. It acts on its own and bursts, causing many yelping cries among the rogues. Huxley growls.
