I slowly opened my eyes and winced at the harsh sunlight that filled my room. I rolled over and buried my head in the pillow. I felt exhausted, which was weird considering I just woke up. I decide to stop being lazy and face the sunlight. I open my eyes again and sit up in bed. I stretch and yawn before looking around and freezing. On the chair next to the bed was the alpha of the Guard. He was passed out, slightly snoring and looked surprisingly peaceful...but what was he doing in here? I glanced down at myself and saw that I was in different clothes than I remembered. I was now wearing a black t-shirt a little too big for me and a pair of red pajama shorts. I looked over at the clock and ran my hands through my hair. It was almost nine in the morning. Man, why do I keep sleeping in? I started to slide out of bed when I heard movement and saw the alpha waking up. He yawned and stretched before rubbing his face and sighing. Then he looked up and jumped out of his seat.

"You're awake!" He almost shouted.

"Yeah..."I said feeling confused." I wake up everyday like a normal person."

He let out a small chuckle and walked over to me slowly.

"What's the last thing you remember?" He asked sitting next to me on the bed.

I stared at him and internally cringed at the fact that he sat so close. I slid back away from him about a foot and he sighed.

"Um...getting up yesterday and going for a run..." I thought back to yesterday but furrowed my brows. "But after that everything gets blurry."

"Well..." He started. "Your alpha, a few of my pack members and I came here to talk to you about training."

I sighed and rolled my eyes when I remembered that.

"Then I found out that we are...mates." He said looking at me carefully.

It was like all the memories came slamming back into my mind and I jumped out of the bed.

"Oh my goodness." I gasped and stepped away from him.

"It's okay..." He said trying to keep me calm.

"I ran away from you!" I said and continued. "I came back...and...and-"

"You collapsed."

I stopped and looked at him.

"I carried you inside and we called the pack doctor as well as Elder Knight."

"And?" I asked growing impatient.

"This is where we go downstairs." He said. "I can't really explain this to you as well as Elder Knight can."

I sighed and headed out of the room.

"Wait." He said and surprisingly I did. "Go take a shower and relax a little bit. I'll go downstairs and talk to him and let the others know that you're awake."

I turned to him. "How long was I asleep?"

"Almost three days." He said glancing down before looking back up at me. "We weren't sure when you would wake up."

I let out the breath I was holding and ran my hands through my hair.

"Alright." I said. "I'll go shower and then meet you downstairs."

He seemed shocked for a moment.

"What?" I asked.

He blushed slightly and smirked. "Nothing, I just thought it would be hard to get you to do what I said."

I rolled my eyes and went into the bathroom.

"Aiyana-"

I shut the door and turned on the fan. I heard him sigh and leave the bedroom, closing the door behind him. I felt the tension in my body release and turned on the shower. Somehow he made me edgy and calm all at the same time. It confused me more than anything in the world. I hurriedly took a hot shower and changed into a red shirt and grey shorts. I was beginning to wonder where these extra clothes were coming from. They weren't mine and they were too big to be Nadia's. Maybe they were Peter's. I towel dried my hair and left the room. I walked down the stairs and was attacked by Nadia. She jumped and wrapped her arms around me.
