It had been her first night sleeping in her bed after her return. Thanks to several heavy medications, Y/N was spared from any difficulty sleeping or nightmares that she had been expecting after the ordeal. Her abduction and torment had been lengthy and short all at the same time. She had only been in the Undertaker's claws for five days. But on that same note, she had been drugged, tortured, beaten and tormented for five whole days. She had been forced to relive old traumas and new ones had been seared into her brain. New fears and memories floated inside her head that would've driven anyone to madness. She was drowning, and there was no one to rescue her. Or, there wouldn't have been, if her friends didn't love her so much.Agni was sitting in his chair by his beloved's bedside. He had been planted there all night, and he wouldn't leave unless it was to get her something to eat or drink. If she needed anything, whether it was help sitting up or new bandages, he would be ready to accommodate her. Anything she needed, be it small or big, he would get for her. She could demand the world and he would deliver it to her on a silver platter. But for now, all he could do was watch her and his Prince sleep. Soma had refused to leave Y/N's side, insisting on sleeping next to her all night. It had caused Agni's heart to swell and melt in his chest to see his love and his Prince holding each other so tenderly as they fell asleep.
Part of him had been hoping that Lord Ciel or Mister Sebastian would join the three of them so they too could help take care of Y/N, but neither of them came. Agni had heard the servants waiting outside Y/N's door in shifts last night. They had all been told the story of Y/N's abduction, and each of them were prepared to do whatever it took to keep her safe. Agni wasn't sure what aid the servants could possibly provide in case of an attack, but it was a sweet gesture. It certainly reminded Y/N that she wasn't alone, and they couldn't ask for much more. It was now up to her body to heal its physical wounds and it was up to her mind to heal her mental ones. Agni in no way expected Y/N to be the same as she had been before. Hell, by now she was a completely different person than when he had met her, even before her kidnapping. Agni would not be against any changes she made to herself as long as they didn't harm her. Y/N grew, she changed with the wind and with the tides, and Agni knew that when he fell in love with her. She would change through the years, months, and even in days. Changing is what makes one human, and Agni would love her through all of her changes.
No matter what this incident brought onto Y/N, Agni would love her. However, he did not know how well he could maintain his friendship with Mister Sebastian. Agni hadn't liked the butler's plan to subdue their masters one bit, but he had gone along with it for Soma's safety. Agni knew his Prince would only be in danger if he had gone with them to rescue Y/N from the second manor, but he still didn't agree with Sebastian using force on his Prince. He knew Ciel had been told the truth behind what had happened, the Earl ordering Sebastian to tell him everything, and Agni in no way blamed Sebastian for telling his young Master the truth. If Soma asked Agni for the truth behind Y/N's rescue, Agni knew there was no way he would be able to lie to his Prince. When he discovered Ciel knew the truth, Agni had begged him for punishment for his actions, but the Earl refused. He said Agni was not his to punish, which the Indian butler had found to be preposterous.
When Soma and Agni had interrupted Ciel's meeting with the Scotland Yard men, they had been given the job of tending to the London townhouse to make up for their behavior. And while it hadn't turned out to be punishment at all, in fact it had turned into quite the nice job, Ciel had still shown the Prince and his servant that he was above the both of them. But now that he had aided in the incapacitation of the Masters and the rescue of Y/N behind their backs, there was no punishment to be dealt? While it hadn't been nearly as horrible as Agni's betrayal of his Prince to West and his participation in the curry competition, Agni knew he deserved to be punished somehow. He did not regret what he did, but he knew that he had done wrong to both the Earl and his Prince. He had done what at the time seemed necessary to keep them safe, but still, even when the means were justified by the end, Agni had done wrong.
