Y/N had torn back across the school to the room where she had hidden her original Blue House uniform. She threw it back on, stashed the Red House uniform back into the hiding spot, fixed her appearance in the tiny mirror, and made sure she looked just like James once again. She had only been gone for the majority of their break, opting to skip having a bigger lunch with her teammates in exchange for more time with Agni. She felt bad having to leave him breathless and in the dust, but it had been dangerous enough for her to even see him to begin with. If she had been gone for too long or left late and been noted as missing by her teammates, some were bound to go looking for her. And if one of them caught her either in the act of pinning her lover to the wall or changing back into a Blue House uniform, there would have been a lot of uncomfortable questions with even worse lies and answers.Y/N pulled her blue sweater over her white collared shirt and pressed it flat against herself. Without her usual contraption that covered her neck to waist, she looked a bit curvier than normal. But there was nothing she could do about that now, and besides, Blue House was not known for their flawless vision. Y/N situated her (faux) glasses on her face and checked the mirror one last time before she left her hiding spot and regrouped with her team.
Sebastian was still missing in action, undoubtedly taking his time with his part of the plot and making sure everything had been set into place for the second half of the game. "Where have you been, Brewer?" Clayton snapped when he noticed that Y/N was back and serving herself a small helping of lunch.
"One of my straps slipped out of place, sorry," she apologized through mouthfuls of food.
"Oh. Well in that case, make sure to be more careful," the Fag warned. He genuinely looked a bit concerned and Y/N nearly felt guilty as she nodded in reply. "Coach Michaelis is still missing, I'm afraid."
"Ah!" The demon appeared out of thin air it seemed, effectively startling everyone.
"Where were you, Coach?" Clayton sputtered before he was fully over the shock of Sebastian's return.
"I do apologize. I went to the lavatory," he said, completely ignoring how he had scared the entire team.
"You took ages! For goodness sakes, Brewer returned before you did!" Koward shouted at Sebastian, who gave Y/N a nasty side-eye glare. She just innocently shrugged at him and continued to finish off her lunch.
The second half of the game was set up to begin. Y/N was once again waiting on the sidelines as Ciel was sent up to bat. The Red House boys were all in their pristine white shirts and pants, while Ciel stood out with his blue sweater and teal hair. Harcourt was set up to pitch, a small pity play that was frankly rather insulting. It wasn't that Harcourt wasn't a dedicated player and a worthy opponent, but clearly he was the closest on his team to the level of athletic skill the average Blue House player possessed.
Though neither the Earl nor the Lady had much time to dwell on the slight insult as the Umpire raised his hand and called out to the crowd, "The second innings will now begin!"
Tension rose immediately on the field as everyone settled into their positions. The boys in the outfield and on the sidelines eagerly tried to listen in on what Harcourt was saying to Ciel as he prepared his first bowl. Y/N knew what the boy was saying was something of endearment, and it really did tug at her heart that he considered Ciel to be his friend. It was one of those moments Y/N wished wasn't rare: when Ciel had the honest and real chance to have a genuine friend. Even if they were on opposing sides, Harcourt felt no malice towards the young Earl at all. Hell, Y/N was almost positive his little heart didn't hold the capacity for it. Harcourt wanted nothing from Ciel but a good game and friendship, and it came with no strings attached on his end.
