The sun was hardly peaking through Y/N's curtains when Sebastian came to wake her. The demon pulled back the curtains, effectively blinding Y/N while waking her up. The Lady groaned and pulled her covers over her head. She could hear the muffled sounds of Sebastian chuckling and making a snide comment before ripping the covers from her hands, blinding her again. She hid her face behind her arms and the folds of her nightgown sleeves. Her eyes were heavy with sleep and whatever Sebastian said was incomprehensible as Y/N did her best to ignore him.Y/N was able to pick up on a few words that the demon said. He listed the servants' names, something about their appearances, and Y/N distinctly heard the words 'new store'. It was likely they would be traveling out to town today, then. Y/N muttered to Sebastian, asking if Ciel had been woken up yet. Sebastian told her that the Young Master was yet to rise, but that the concerns he had just listed to her would promptly be brought to Ciel's attention as well. Y/N thought that was a good idea considering she hadn't listened to anything Sebastian had said.
Sebastian left Y/N to get dressed while he went to wake up the Earl. After a few moments Mey-Rin stumbled into Y/N's room to help her dress. As Mey-Rin helped Y/N tie up her skirt and corset, Y/N noticed how her fingers seemed to slip more than normal and it took her a bit longer to tie the knots than usual. The prescription on her glasses must've gone out while they were away at Weston. The two women chatted with each other as Y/N got ready for the day. She asked Mey-Rin if she had enjoyed the cricket tournament, and the maid gushed for the remainder of their time together about what a lovely time she had. It made Y/N's heart sting a bit when Mey-Rin told her she wished that Y/N could've been there as well, but instead of telling Mey-Rin what she had told Baldroy, Y/N just agreed before Mey-Rin was sent off on her way to do her chores.
Y/N checked her dress one last time in her mirror to make sure that everything had indeed been tied up correctly. It appears that while Mey-Rin's vision was poor, she had done her absolute best. Y/N only tightened and loosened her corset and skirt in a few places before she was satisfied. Y/N pulled on her jacket over her shirt and looked at herself in her mirror. It was a relief to see a woman in a burnt ochre dress staring back at her instead of a boy with a jacket and blue a tie.
With that, Y/N left her room to go and find Sebastian and Ciel. She heard them speaking from behind the cracked door to Ciel's room. Y/N knocked on the door before announcing herself. "Good morning, Ciel. May I come in?"
There was a moment before she heard a muffled "You may" from behind the door. Y/N pushed it open and stepped inside, closing it behind herself. Ciel was seated on a sofa while Sebastian finished dressing him.
"What appears to be today's schedule?" Y/N asked as she walked over to Ciel.
"It appears the person who has opened the new department at Harrod's would like for me to visit," Ciel huffed as Sebastian pulled up his Master's black socks. "We shall go today."
"Very good, sir," Sebastian replied. "In that case, I have a small request, young Master."
"Hmm?" Ciel hummed as Sebastian began to wrap his eyepatch over the Earl's contract eye. The contract seal glowed under the eyepatch's dark fabric before the light was trapped and snuffed out.
