Clayton had made his decision before the day was even done. Of course, in the end, his best option had presented itself quite obviously. He would have been foolish to have chosen anyone else, and you were not placed in Blue House if you were weak-minded outside of academics. Naturally, he chose Ciel to be his Fag. And while Y/N had to feign a little disappointment, she was secretly very pleasantly surprised that their plot had gone off without a hitch. Originally the idea had been to win the Prefects over with Sebastian's sweets and Ciel and Y/N's dedication to doing Clayton's chores. But since Maurice had thrown a massive wrench into that plan, they had to adapt and in the end, one might even say they got better results. Now with his horrible secrets revealed, Maurice Cole was shunned by not only his peers, but by the P4 as well. His thorn was removed from their sides rather smoothly, and Y/N wouldn't be surprised if the boy suddenly dropped out of Weston. Apparently there was a rumor swirling around the school in the wake of Maurice's morning photo that the boy believed there was a woman sneaking around campus. It was preposterous and wholly impossible! At least, that's what everyone thought. When Y/N heard the rumor, she laughed just like everyone else, but for a completely different reason. It was just as she warned him: No one would ever believe Maurice Cole and his 'lies' again. It had gone just as they had anticipated, and that put him completely out of the picture for the foreseeable future.
And with Maurice finally out of the picture, Ciel and Y/N's paths to the P4 were clear and carved. They ran into their open arms faster than light itself and Y/N watched as Clayton swept Ciel away to swear him into place as his Fag. Though she hadn't been able to attend the ceremony, Y/N had made sure to give Ciel a spine-cracking hug before he left and she was the first to greet him when he returned. She had been waiting for him in the vestibule of the school's chapel, even though she wasn't supposed to. With a little begging on both their parts, Ciel and Y/N made it possible for James Brewer, Clayton's runner-up, to be allowed to wait for his friend in the vestibule so he could congratulate him before anyone else.
"You've done incredible," Y/N chuckled as she threw her arm around Ciel's shoulders. "We couldn't have asked for better results!"
"I agree. We've worked far too hard for anything less," the Earl agreed as he gently touched the blue flower on his lapel. Something was churning through his mind, Y/N could see it in his eye.
"What's bothering you, kid?" She asked. "If you're thinking this has been too easy, it hasn't. To be honest, if Maurice hadn't tried to stop us, we wouldn't be nearly as appealing to everyone. He unintentionally built us some of the strongest rapport we could have asked for. Besides, we still have Sebastian should things take a turn for the worst. And I'm right here." Y/N gave Ciel a light squeeze before she let him go. "I'm not going anywhere."
Before he could say anything, Y/N pushed open the heavy wooden doors of the chapel. They creaked and groaned as they parted and bathed Ciel and Y/N in sunlight. "Ah! Here he is!" McMillan cheered as people began to gasp and applaud upon seeing the Earl.
"He did it! He's got the flower and everything!" Y/N declared as their classmates from Blue House began to swarm them.
Although it was much less frightening now that they were smiling and in a celebratory mood, Ciel was still easily overwhelmed. While she didn't stand directly between the Earl and his crowd, Y/N made sure they didn't get too close to him. She knew he didn't want them touching him, so she made sure to remind them all not to crease his uniform or to disturb the flower on his lapel. Obviously in their overwhelming feelings of awe and joy, the boys just nodded and didn't truly pay attention to what Y/N said, but they still refrained from grabbing onto Ciel. Instead, they bombarded him with compliments and questions.
"You're incredible! Just incredible, Phantomhive!" McMillan gushed over his friend as his eyes seemed to shimmer with stars.
"Congrats!" Several boys from the back of the crowd cheered as they stood on the tips of their toes, hoping to catch a glimpse of Ciel and his blue gentian on his lapel.
