A Day later the war had already started, but during the week there was only one report sent to the palace thus far and It told that Cyno had pushed the Army of Snezhnaya back, in which this lessened your Father's stress about the current situation, and it told of the progress but other than that nothing else had been heard but the kingdom was able to take a breath of relief 

you were sitting on the steps to the lotus pond, sitting as you watched the water ripple and the wind blew the blue petals softly, it was at high noon right now so the day was kind of hot but you went to escape the heat at the pond, just then you were brought out of your daze upon hearing the sounds of bracelets, looking to see Nisha with a piece of parchment In her hand 

"My lady, this was sent from the battle front It's from his highness to you"

you stood up and came to receive It, "thank you"

you took the letter and opened It up as you started and it read:

My Love, I wished to write you sooner but with the war right now I haven't had a spare moment, but I write this to tell you how much I miss you, though It's only been a week so far but still I miss you very much, I hope you're well and I hope things In the kingdom are also well, we managed to push Prince Ajax and his army back but they've been relentless In their attacks, I was worried about the soldiers for the moment but they've held their own this entire time and they've covered each other's backs as well as mine, I'm grateful, but sometimes I have felt the heaviness of this responsibility that Father In law's given to me, and it would be a lie to say that I didn't have doubts, but no matter what I will hold to my promises and continue fighting for Sumeru with all my might, Love I don't have much longer to continue writing this but know that I love you, and I will continue doing my duty to protect the kingdom but more Importantly you, please take care of yourself

"Nisha, when you have the time make sure It gets delivered to him"

"I didn't announce to Mother and Father that I'd be visiting, but I won't be staying long this time"

you nodded, "I see, are things alright with you In the Kingdom of Natlan,"

Candace sighed, "They are, but I had to come here upon hearing of the war declaration, I was worried about you and our parents, I hear The General is fighting valiantly at the border"

Candace sighed, "The Queen of Snezhnaya cares not for others, though many of her followers say she's a benevolent ruler but that's a blatant lie"

she then stood up, "shall we go for a walk, speaking about this is making me rather angry"

you smiled with a nod, before standing up "I understand, Elder sister how are you by the way in terms of your pregnancy"

Candace touched her stomach, "I'm well, it's only my third month so far but I'm not showing half of the symptoms, though this morning I did feel rather nauseous"

you then started out of your bedroom and walked with Candace around the palace for a bit, catching up and she even told you more about the Kingdom of Natlan.
