(The story proceeds the same as the show. The plot now shifts to the Diwali celebration and Anuj's confession in front of the Shahs.)

"Haan mai Anupama se pyar karta hu! Chhabbis saal pehle bhi karta tha aur aaj bhi karta hu!" his anger knew no bounds as he exploded in front of Vanraj. Every member in front of him were stunned and tried processing this new information. Anupama who stood witnessing all this from outside the window wasn't able to comprehend it as her mind went blank and she stood there like a lifeless corpse.

"Lekin afsos ki baat toh yeh hai ke yeh sirf adha sach hai. Anupama ne mujhse kabhi pyar kiya hi nahi hai. Uss din bhi usne mujhe manaa hi kiya tha aur aaj bhi agar usko yeh baat pata chali toh voh manaa hi karegi. Uske dil mein sirf Shah parivaar basta hai aur koi nahi. Aur vahi Shah parivaar uske saath aisa sulook karta." he said wondering how he can save his Anupama from this misery.

Anupama felt deceived by someone whom she trusted so much. She started doubting her own potential. It felt like he favoured her by giving her this opportunity of partnership because he loved her and not because she had the talent and the skill. She doubted each and every thing that Anuj had done for her till date. How could he do this to her, she wondered. Everything that she built for herself after her divorce threatened to fall apart. The self-worth, self-respect and self-confidence that she had erected for herself were crumbling to pieces. How could he do this to her.

Samar who witnessed his mom in this state took it upon himself to make her see sense. He went home with his mom and gave her time to calm herself down and then began the much-needed talk. He told her that it was her choice that whether she wanted to accept his love and reciprocate it or deny it, but she didn't have the right to question or insult Anuj's love.

(The story proceeds the same as the show. Next day Anupama says a Thank you for loving her so much, but Anuj shouldn't expect anything from her. She said she can only give friendship in return for his love. Anuj said that he never expected anything from her, and neither will he expect any such thing in the future.)

It was a fresh start to their friendship and the things were back to normal. Just a few awkward moments for Anuj when he starts admiring her without even realizing and Anupama catches him at that. But even she understood and respected the fact that he couldn't help it. But somewhere at the bottom of her heart she started feeling good and confident that someone actually loved her for what she was. This feeling of being loved by someone else made her feel good and all this felt new. She was never at the receiving end of it ever before.

It was a like any other day, but the only difference was that she reached office a little early than the usual and saw that Anuj was yet to come. Right when she was about to enter the cabin and she happened to step on a sheet of paper. She noticed that and bent over to pick it up. She could see some handwritten content on it. She thought she would keep it on the table and start with her day's work. She didn't give much of her attention to it and was about to keep it on the table and it was then that she noticed her name on it. She went on to read it.

Dear Anu,

Life has been so unkind to you. Each time I see you suffer in the hands of your ex-husband I feel like I wronged you in so many ways. The tears in your eyes makes me die a thousand deaths. Each time your own kids blame you for everything wrong happening with them. My heart bleeds with the thought of not being in your life to show your kids what it means to have such a mother. I am not able to forgive myself.
