"Anupama!!!" Baa had it enough. She always felt entitled and thought Anupama's world revolved around her and her grand kids. What she didn't realize was that Anupama had long fought her way out of that zone. She always thought that she was favoring Anupama by letting her stay with her kids. She always tried to tie her down with the shackles of family and this time also that was her weapon to tame her.

"Hum tere parivaar hai Anupama! Lekin tuney ek baar bhi nahi socha apne parivaar ka izzat aise khule aam uchhalne se pehle." she said with utmost loathing.

"Parivaar..." she sighed with a chuckle as a sad tear ran down her cheeks. Anuj had seen his love falling apart multiple times and this time it was no different. He just wanted to hold her close and console her but he knew that his Anupama was strong enough to handle any storm. Him standing with her in itself was big support for her. And he knew that she had been through worst and this would be a cake walk if she wanted to fight for her love.

"Toh hum tere parivaar nahi hai kya?" questioned Baa.

"Parivaar toh voh hota hai na jo apno ke Khushi mein khush ho. Mai unko apna parivaar kaise maanu jo apno ki Khushi ko izzat uchhalna kehte hai." she said giving up on her expectations from her so-called family.

"Jab tu humein parivaar hi nahi maanti hai toh yahan kis muh se ayi hai? Jaati na apne Anuj ke ghar. Vaise bhi toh tuney besharmi ki saari hadein paar kar di."

"Sahi kaha aapne Baa. Galti meri hai ke mai humesha umeed karti hu phir usi umeed ke tootne par roti hu. Sahi kaha aapne. Maine besharmi ki saari hadein paar kar di hai. Humesha umeed tooti hai aur humesha maine besharmon ki tarha phirse umeed kiya hai aap logon ko apna samajh kar. Haan maine besharmi ki aapse umeed karke, Anuj se pyar karke nahi." she said the last part with no hint of regret in her voice. But the pride in her words was quite evident.

"Samar!" Anupama's voice boomed through the Shah house. Samar came running to the hall where all of this was happening. "Mai yahan se jaa rhi hu. Mera samaan pohcha dena mere ghar." with that she turned to leave. Her steps halted and she turned towards Baa. "Jaati hu Baa. Jai Shree Krishna." she said folding her hands.

Anuj was stunned seeing her like that. "Chaliye Anuj." she said and began walking. But she didn't see him move. He still stood stunned unable to respond. "Anooj..." she called him again.

"Haann...haan..." he said finally recovering from his shock and followed her out.

Baa didn't expect this reaction from her. She just couldn't digest the fact that she would react like this to her. She didn't want to believe that Anupama just snatched away the power from her of emotionally blackmailing her.
